Conté mis años y descubrí, que tengo menos tiempo para vivir de aquí en adelante, que el que viví hasta ahora…
Me siento como aquel niño que ganó un paquete de dulces: los primeros los comió con agrado, pero, cuando percibió que quedaban pocos, comenzó a saborearlos profundamente.
Ya no tengo tiempo para reuniones interminables, donde se discuten estatutos, normas, procedimientos y reglamentos internos, sabiendo que no se va a lograr nada.
Ya no tengo tiempo para soportar a personas absurdas que, a pesar de su edad cronológica, no han crecido.
Ya no tengo tiempo para lidiar con mediocridades.
No quiero estar en reuniones donde desfilan egos inflados.
No tolero a manipuladores y oportunistas.
Me molestan los envidiosos, que tratan de desacreditar a los más capaces, para apropiarse de sus lugares, talentos y logros.
Las personas no discuten contenidos, apenas los títulos.
Mi tiempo es escaso como para discutir títulos.
Quiero la esencia, mi alma tiene prisa…
Sin muchos dulces en el paquete…

La cosiddetta torre pendente di Pisa è il campanile del Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta, nella celeberrima Piazza del Duomo di cui è il monumento più famoso per via della caratteristica pendenza.
Si tratta di un campanile a sé stante, alto circa 56 metri e costruito nell'arco di due secoli, tra il dodicesimo e il quattordicesimo. Pesa 14.453 tonnellate, predomina la linea curva, con giri di arcate cieche e sei piani di loggette. La sua pendenza è dovuta ad un leggero cedimento del terreno verificatosi già nelle prime fasi della costruzione. L'inclinazione dell'edificio attualmente misura 5°30' rispetto all'asse verticale. La torre di Pisa rimane in equilibrio perché la verticale che passa per il suo baricentro cade all'interno della base di appoggio.
Da notare la presenza di almeno tre torri inclinate: una, la più nota, appunto in piazza del Duomo; la seconda costituita dal campanile della chiesa di San Nicola, all'estremità opposta di via Santa Maria, vicino al Lungarno; la terza, a metà strada del viale delle Piagge (lungofiume situato nella parte est della città), è il campanile della chiesa di San Michele degli Scalzi (in questo caso anche la chiesa è pendente).

I met this young man and his family at the fishing piers out at Robert Moses State Park yesterday (just across the Causeway from Captree). I liked his look and tattoos and he graciously agreed to let me take his portrait when I asked. It was right after this photo was taken that he went to check his crabbing nets and found the mother crab holding her baby. He immediately released the crabs back into the water because the mother was losing her grip on her baby. Awwwwww....... what a nice guy!
I"m taking these portraits to show my photography instrructor to ascertain if the errors I see can be corrected in a program called Photoshop Elements. I think it's time I graduated from Picnik. Or maybe I should have used the flash.....

Por fin he acabado los exámenes!!
Ahora toca la desagradable espera por las notas... pero también volver a todo lo que hacía que me divirtiese. Y, por supuesto, Flickr está en ese grupo de cosas agradables que quiero recuperar. Poquito a poco, eso sí.
La intención es ir volviendo atrás en el tiempo y comentar las fotos de los últimos dos meses (o por lo menos verlas!!). Quizás me lleve todo el verano. :p
Y claro... si durante este tiempo recupero eso que llaman inspiración (hace tanto que se me escapó que hasta he olvidado su nombre), subiré alguna foto de tanto en tanto.
