Punggol Beach is a place that is surprisingly overlooked by many people, just like Changi Point Coastal Walk. However, in my own opinion, I do feel that the Changi Point Coastal Walk is a better place for me though as the coastline over there is much longer.
Still, I may return back to Punggol Beach again as I do feel that I was a little unprepared the first time round due to the uneven ground which resulted in some unexpected challenges. This photo is the result of a few rounds of a trial and error.
On a side note on the last day of 2015, I wish everyone a very Happy New Year 2016!
It was a steamy hot day today. The dark clouds were rolling in over the city. According to the weather app, there was no rain forecast. The Bureau of Meteorology radar said otherwise. It showed a massive storm happening over the bay. I jumped in the car and raced down to Seaford Pier. I was hoping to catch the lightning display due West, directly down the centre of the pier, but the storm had shifted by the time I arrived. It was hard to pick a bad spot to set up for a photo.
I've never taken photos of lightning before, so there was plenty of trial and error while I dialled in my settings. There were many shots of nothing, but I got some spectacular shots like this one. Really happy for my first attempt.
First day of harvest was kind of disaster. The GPS on the combine had issues so it took an hour to even get going. When I went to unload the first wagon, our overhead wet corn holding bin sprung a leak,scattering about 20 bushels of corn all over the grain dryer. Finally,when emptying out the combine for the day, someone had left the door of the wagon just a little open, so there was another 20 bushels left on the ground. Oh,how I look forward to today! LOL

Error by Vendel & de Wolf, the very big art installation at Westferry Circus as part of the 2025 Winter Lights at Canary Wharf. I'd got shots of this work on my Lumix the week previously when we had visited with friends but I couldn't seem to get a good shot then. So giving it a second go I was more pleased with the shots taken on my Canon DSLR.
