On my way to Tuscola from Tolono last night, there was a decent storm rolling in with plenty of lightning. I stopped on a country road to get some lightning shots out the window of my truck because it was raining. None of them came out as the rain kept getting on the lens. I knew I had to wait on this storm to clear before I could really try anything. I also realized that I needed some sort of subject in the shot and not just a boring field. I moved down to the Hayes elevator and had to get the camera set up again, luckily it was now done raining. After a lot of trial and error of getting the angle and focus correct, I just had to keep firing until I got something that worked. This shot finally came out after about the 50th try!
Looking east towards the Hayes elevator, some lightning fills the sky behind it during this 72 second exposure. There was some nice light coming from the FS plant to my left that illuminated the elevator.

I'm so sick & tired of being used by other people. The mental strength of a person has certain limits. There are times when you have to ask yourself....will I let myself be treated like garbage and dirt for even longer? I treat myself bad enough there is no room for people who only perceive me if their desire is not tangible. I'd rather stay alone than continue to swallow this garbage.
