Lantana (Lantana camara) - Turtle Mound Archeological site, Canaveral National Seashore (north), South Atlantic Avenue, Eldora, Florida
Considered by some to be invasive, and by others a domesticated escapee, these "wild" flowers came be seen growing in the wild throughout Florida. However, what people think about the lantana plant is irrelevant to butterflies and other pollinators who often seek them out for a tasty meal.
And the Lantanas themselves are not very fussy either, and often sport a number of different colored blossoms to broaden their appeal to all types of color-centric pollinators.
