These all look so great! Whoever mentioned in class that this batch had too much black oxide was right on the money. But the contrast is striking. And you'll see that the color in person is more like a dark, military green.

Rough cut beads of white quartz sparkle with embedded pyrite. The white quartz provides a dramatic contrast to black tourmaline crystals. The black tourmaline stones are minimally processed and retain much of the character of the source rock. The necklace is finished with sterling silver chain and a sterling silver clasp which has been oxidized to a dramatic dark finish. The rough cut quality of this necklace may make it uncomfortable to wear directly against the skin but it is that rough cut quality that gives this necklace its unique appeal. The length of the necklace is just over 20 inches.

I think this was the coolest thing of all, a book embedded into the wall of the bookshop, and scenes of Oxford embedded into cutouts within the book.
