Shooting VS Shooting documentary by Nikos Megrelis, 2011, 75' & 52'
‘In a war, truth is always the first victim. ‘ Greek philosopher Aeschylus wrote, many centuries back and until today, his quote stands.
‘Shooting vs Shooting’ is an international documentary that revolves around the wrongful deaths of many journalists and media workers in Iraq from the beginning of the war in 2003 till nowdays.
It reveals unknown sides to the facts, the responsibilities of governments, the atrocities committed by fanatic islamic factions, while simultaneously displaying unique examples of courage, altruism and humanity that stood out amidst the horrors of war.

Burlington Northern railroad caboose (BN 12352) in Townsend, Tennessee (Blount County). The caboose is partially embedded into a small building. The caboose has been in its present spot since about 2004 and by 2010 appeared to be abandoned. In about 2012 it became an ice cream parlor and was partially enclosed by a building in about 2014. It now serves as a car sales center.
This is an extended (wide) vision cupola steel caboose. The wheels (trucks) have been removed and it rests on concrete pilings. The outside of the caboose has not been noticeably changed since its railroad days except for the insertion of an AC unit, a kitchen vent fan, and a wide window. One of the porches was modified so it could marry into the floor of the building. The inside has been extensively remodeled to be an office / kitchen. Some of the original inside features were retained. It has city power and plumbing.
The caboose is on private property yet in a semi-public area. Visitors can easily see inside the caboose by entering the building.

Embedded "Pole Holders" are engineered within the pvc substructure(where the green meets the white). The reef is formed around them and then poles are cut off and fittings added to the cut ends to enable the poles to be removed and embellished. They will be transported separately and reattached on the playa.

This tree's growth has brought it right next to a barbed-wire fence, with a small "cave" to allow for the barb itself but with the wire cutting a line right across the trunk. Subsequent photos give a wider view.
I love unexpected inspiration.
This photo was taken in an abandoned hotel of a wall that had its wallpaper torn off.
The lines are very interesting. This was one of my favorite shots of the day.
