Argon (Ar) is # 18 on the Periodic Table of Elements. At Earth surface conditions, it is an invisible gas. Argon is one of the "noble gases", along with helium, neon, krypton, xenon, and radon - they do not easily form compounds with other elements.
Twenty-six isotopes of argon are known - six occur naturally. Argon-40 is the most common variety. Argon-36, argon-37 (= radioactive), argon-38, argon-39 (= radioactive), and argon-41 (= radioactive) occur in small to trace amounts only.

Erbium (Er) is # 68 on the Periodic Table of Elements. Elemental erbium is a silvery-gray metal. It is one of the "rare earth elements" (REEs) and occurs in few minerals.
Thirty-nine isotopes of erbium are known - six occur naturally. The most common variety is erbium-166. Erbium-162, erbium-164, erbium-167, erbium-168, and erbium-170 occur in lesser to very small amounts.

This photo is a picture of sand that I took of my Japanese garden that I have in my room. The sand shows a texture of roughness, and grainy. Just by looking at the photo you can picture what the sand feels like. This would be an example of visual texture in art. I liked this photo because it reminded me of being at the beach.

Germanium (Ge) is # 32 on the Periodic Table of Elements. Elemental germanium is a silvery-gray semi-metal.
Thirty-four isotopes of germanium are known - five occur naturally. The most common varieties are germanium-74, germanium-72, and germanium-70. Germanium-73 and germanium-76 occur in minor amounts.
