Il rosso cattura immediatamente l’attenzione, se c’è un elemento in rosso, lì cade l’occhio. Il rosso è il colore dell’energia. E’associato al movimento, alla velocità e alla potenza. Significa desiderio, passione, eccitazione e ardore.
Le rouge attire immédiatement l'attention, s'il y a un élément en rouge, c'est là que le regard tombe. Le rouge est la couleur de l'énergie. Il est associé au mouvement, à la vitesse et à la puissance. Cela signifie désir, passion, excitation et ardeur.
Red immediately captures attention, if there is an element in red, that's where the eye falls. Red is the color of energy. It is associated with movement, speed and power. It means desire, passion, excitement and ardor.

In un solo colpo ho preso 2 elementi della Torino che cambia.
Il primo è il lingotto con la sua palla verde del centro congressi. Il lingotto era la fabbrica storicamente più importante di Torino. Dopo la sua chiusura si è deciso di rivalutare il fabbricato dando a Renzo Piano la ristrutturazione e la ri-conversione. Detto dello stesso Renzo Piano: "ho già fatto un grattacielo a Torino, e si chiama Lingotto". Effettivamente il Lingotto può essere considerato un grattacielo orizzontale. All'interno non ci sono più macchinari per la produzione di automobili, ma c'è un enorme centro commerciale aperto 365 giorni l'anno ed hanno la sede moltissime aziende. Inizialmente la Fiat aveva deciso di spostare la sua sede in Corso Marconi. Ma l'Avvocato dopo qualche anno aveva deciso di tornare al lingotto, ricordando che veniva sempre a trovare il Nonno proprio negli uffici del lingotto.
Il secondo elemento è l'arco olimpico. Nuovo simbolo della città nato per le olimpiadi. L'arco è stato utilizzato per unire con una passerella pedonale la zona del villaggio olimpico con il centro commerciale del lingotto. Personalmente l'arco fa una magnifica figura, soprattutto considerando la zona in cui è stato inserito. Dalla parte di piazza Galimberti Tangredi, l'arco avvolge la vecchia torre dei mercati generali. Normalmente l'architettura moderna non mi piace, in questo caso devo ammettere che hanno fatto un buon lavoro.

Este día fuimos a ver “abierto por obras”. La Catedral de Santa María de Vitoria está abierta al público para ver las obras de restauración.
La catedral se encuentra en pleno proceso de restauración desde el año 1994, cuando se cerró al público. En ese año comenzó un proceso de investigación para descubrir las causas del peligro de derrumbamiento y de los continuos desperfectos que fueron a más, hasta la caída de parte de la bóveda.
Tras los informes y el comienzo de las obras de restauración de Santa María, se creó el programa “abierto por obras“, un programa de visitas guiadas en el que se mezcla la muestra del templo sagrado con el proceso de restauración. Una oportunidad única de ver las entrañas de una catedral por dentro y aprender algunas de las técnicas usadas en cada época.
Las obras están en su fase final y prácticamente la parte religiosa está finalizada, a falta del altar central. En la parte subterránea se alojará un museo donde volverán muchos de los restos extraídos en el subsuelo.
La visita guiada a la catedral de Santa María nos dejó gratamente sorprendidos. Pudimos aprender mucho y sobre todo ver rincones que en ningún otro lugar puedes ver, como la parte subterránea. Vimos las excavaciones que se realizaron para extraer los restos arqueológicos de la cripta y la base de los grandes pilares de la catedral.
Dura poco mas de una hora pero merece la pena ver los cimientos del edificio, un paseo por los andamios del interior y por el "Triforio", (es un elemento arquitectónico situado en las naves centrales, justo encima de las arcadas que dan a las naves laterales).
Consiste en una línea de vanos, normalmente geminado, abiertos en el grueso de los muros
Desde lo alto del edificio se puede contemplar los alrededores de la ciudad y el monte Gorbea.
Por último, proyectan un audiovisual en el pórtico de la Catedral que narra cómo transcurrió la historia hasta nuestros días.
La entrada cuesta: Estudiantes, mayores de 65, profesores, familias numerosas, parados y personas con discapacidad: 5.5€.
Adultos: 8.5€. La reserva se realiza por Internet en su web oficial.
En el exterior, existe esta estatua dedicada a Kent Follet autor del libro “Los pilares de la tierra” que tuvo su inspiración en la Catedral Alavesa.
Mi hijo Javier, observa después de la visita la estatua del escritor y sin darse cuenta adopta la misma postura que él, momento que aproveché para tomar esta instantánea para el recuerdo.

Industry has always been one of my favourite subjects for photography. Inside Battersea Power Station control room B there are dials, gauges, levers and much more to keep me shooting away for hours. In fact I did 4 trips here in the space of a month. One of the more exciting trips this one :)
Another element of the SLS (Space Launch System) rocket for Artemis II is poised for flight. Technicians joined the core stage March 23 with the stacked solid rocket boosters for the mission at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
Teams with NASA’s Exploration Ground Systems Program and primary contractor Amentum used one of the five overhead cranes inside the spaceport’s Vehicle Assembly Building to lift the rocket stage from the facility’s transfer aisle to High Bay 3, where it was secured between the booster segments atop the launch tower.

Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana is preparing for the arrival of Ariane 6, ESA’s new heavy-lift rocket. This involves the final preparations of the new Ariane 6 launch complex and all the systems necessary for a launch.
With the mobile gantry fully retracted – as for a launch, two articulated cryogenic arms attached to the upper part of the Ariane 6 mast on the launch pad, mimicked the moment of liftoff.
These tests repeated earlier tests performed in Fos-sur-Mer, France.
The ‘cryo-arms’ are part of the fluidic connection system which connects to Ariane 6 in the final countdown to launch. They support the upper umbilicals which supply cryogenic top-up fuel, maintain the correct pressurisation of the tanks, cool the engines before ignition and generally keep the upper stage in an optimal condition right up to the point of liftoff. The same umbilicals allow the fuel to be drained safely if a launch is aborted.
Each arm is 13 m long and weighs 20 tonnes. One arm supplies liquid hydrogen at -250°C, the other supplies liquid oxygen at -180°C. When Ariane 6 lifts off, these arms will disconnect from the rocket and then pivot away quickly in just 2.6 seconds to avoid interfering with the rocket's ascent.
This manoeuvre requires great precision in order, almost simultaneously, to disconnect the arms, protect the supply hoses from gas ejections from the boosters and allow the launch vehicle to pass while avoiding any contact with it.
A 50-tonne counterweight inside the mast – as heavy as a humpback whale – speeds up the retraction of the arms. A smart damping system allows the arms to brake before the end of their swing backwards in order to preserve the mechanical links with the mast.
Keeping the fluidic supplies connected with the rocket until the moment of liftoff guarantees the best availability and simplification of the interface with the launch vehicle.
The disconnection of the cryo-arms from Ariane 6 is much faster than it is from Ariane 5 which is six seconds before liftoff. This means the sequence for Ariane 6 can be triggered at the latest possible moment in the countdown reducing the chance of unnecessary disconnects on an aborted launch.
