Electronics cabinet with all of the hardware including Blu-ray, mac mini with 2Tb drive for media, RF & IR repeater for remote control, and IR to INSTEON converter for lighting controls. It's not pretty, but it all works.
Test of the Arduino interface for DaveyBot. The Xbox is playing Rock Band 2, the computer software is analyzing the game images and sending commands over USB to the Boarduino (shown in the video) and the Boarduino program is turning on & off the LEDs. Those LEDs represent the switches on the Guitar Hero controller. The next step is to wire the Boarduino into the guitar controller.

The new process for generating organic photovoltaics (OPVs) incorporates non-fullerene acceptors and is resulting in expected operation lifetimes of 30 years, making them suitable for niche applications that including installation inside building windows.
OPVs are flexible, can be manufactured relatively inexpensively and recent developments by Forrests group have proven them to be semi-transparent as well as efficient.

A collection of electrical leads and electronic connectors that I used to keep in a cardboard box, but now sit in the shelf of a storage system I bought to keep all sorts of stuff in.
I guess this reminds me of consumer electronics and obsolescence, but it also reminds me that I kept some old equipment functional with converters and the like.

Not working. Unfortunately it looks like the transformer secondary winding is shorted. Pity, I was hoping to reuse the transformer for perhaps a properly regulated supply.
The first live test of DaveyBot! The interface board is wired into the Guitar Hero controller but not permanently mounted yet. Played through a whole Rock Band 2 song with no errors. Yay!
I built this in the early 1990s. This board which plugs into the C64 user port is basically just a level converter between 5 volt logic levels and RS-232 voltage levels. A reset switch is also included.
