I took several photos of the Tamiya Twin-Motor Gearbox for a review I wrote a couple years ago, this is a photo that wasn't used.

Thanks to everyone that's suffered through my attempts to get the color right over the last few orders!

The soldered up M2R, Martlet 2's radio.

The radio board features a uBlox MAX-M8Q GPS with an LNA+SAW on the input, a Radiometrix MTX2 which can either connect directly to the output or go via a 500mW RF power amplifier, and an isolated connection to a RockBLOCK Iridium satellite modem. It's all powered by an STM32F303CBT7 microcontroller.

Fore more details on the schematics, see: www.cusf.co.uk/2014/07/martlet-2-electronics-schematics/

The PCBs were sponsored by Cambridge Circuit company, thank you! The Radiometrix MTX2s were sponsored by Radiometrix, also a big thank you!

I've traveled the world teaching kids electronics. I do this for two reasons. One is because the kids are the future, and we're not teaching them enough science. In fact, we teach them to throw away electronics that break. And along with that, we as a society are throwing away future innovation.

The second reason is to bring electronics to those who aren't able to afford them. I owe a huge thanks to Adobe for this support, and to Brad Smith with Web Visions for putting up with me long enough to iterate through enough times to where we are getting pretty sophisticated projects going.

When I heard about the $9 Arduino crowdfunding opportunity, it struck a real chord with me, and I sponsored the development of the project.

With Arduino board being relatively cheap (~$30), it was questioned what difference a few dollars down to $9 could make. If we're talking about one board, then that might be true. If we're talking about a class of twenty, then it could make a big difference. The difference between turning away kids that want to learn, or giving them the tools to succeed. I'm looking forward to seeing what Borderless Electronics does next.

A quick and easy Theremin based on photocells and a 555 timer chip. Sounds like this.

The Rynearsons are now required by their trucking company to have an Electronic On Board Recorder, which tracks the driving and rest time of trucks. While parked at the Midway Truck stop in Columbia, Mo. on Nov. 1, 2011, the Rynearsons said this tracking system is being encouraged by the Federal Motor Carriers Association so it can make sure truckers are stopping for the required rest time. Bah! for that price I could just buy a ski mask and a wheel barrow and rob the electronics lab at school.

There were many of those electronics shops where you would find Playstation and Wii on the first floor and it would get more and more explicit on every floor you're going up, where you would find Hentai DVDs on the 7th floor and normal pornography at the top floor.
