7/52 - Texture

A statement on smoking, I really can't stand it.

I used two photos and composited the images together. The original photo is of a friend of mine against a black backdrop with cigarette in hand. I used an incense set on the floor and a light positioned directly behind him to highlight the smoke. The second image is of a skull mask with similar lighting overlayed and masked onto his face.

Playing around with miniature effect, basically just blurs top and bottom and adds some vividness, not entirely sure when it's used to best effect, but this seemed ok.

This was taken at our (Indra and Temperance) handfasting, on 12/18/1998, with a poloroid camera by a guest. I, Indra, then took it into photoshop and applied the orton effect.

Loving my new Side Effect in Verde from Tom Bihn. The colour and sheen of the fabric remind me of peacock herle.
