Bowl of fresh sliced limes, enhanced with the Photoshop "cut out" filter and increased contrast and color saturation.
INFORMATION ON THE LIME:
Lime is a term referring to a number of different fruits (generally citruses), both species and hybrids, which are typically round, green to yellow in color, 3–6 cm in diameter, generally containing sour pulp, and frequently associated with the lemon. Limes are often used to accent the flavors of foods and beverages. They are usually smaller than lemons, and a great source of vitamin C.
In cooking, lime is valued both for the acidity of its juice and the floral aroma of its zest. It is used in Key lime pie, a traditional Florida dessert, and is a very common ingredient in authentic Mexican, Southwestern United States and Thai dishes. It is also used for its pickling properties in ceviche. Additionally, the leaves of lime are used in southeast Asian cuisine. The use of dried limes (called black lime or loomi) as a flavouring is typical of Persian cuisine and Iraqi cuisine, as well as in Gulf-style baharat (a spice mixture that is also called kabsa or kebsa). Limes are also an essential element in Tamil cuisine.
Lime leaves are also an herb in South, East, and particularly Southeast Asia. In Vietnam, people have boiled chicken with lime leaves and a mixture of salt, black pepper and lime juice.
In order to prevent scurvy during the 19th century, British sailors were issued a daily allowance of citrus such as lime (presumably Citrus aurantifolia)[citation needed], which led in time to the nickname "limey" for all Britons. It was later discovered that this beneficial effect derived from the quantities of Vitamin C the fruit contains.
Lime extracts and essential oils are frequently used in perfumes, cleaning products, and aromatherapy.

I got totally lost on this so there is a couple of processes missing but it's my first attempt. I will try again when I have more time, don't like things beating, lol.

I learned this from flickr member, Juan (www.flickr.com/photos/juanjoispolo/). This is too blurry. Here's how I do it because I'm limited with CS3. And you can play around with these steps.
Duplicate background layer. Desaturate it.
Filter>dust and scratches until it looks right. Lower to 50% opacity. IF YOU HAVE CC USE THE CAMERA RAW FILTER AND PUT CLARITY AT MAXIMUM.
Duplicate THAT layer, blending mode Saturation.
Use layer mask to bring out color.
Produced from two frames, one in focus, the other out. Combined in Photoshop using layers and the 'Blend If' slider.

Just trying somethings on CS3. I added a blueprint effect with a bit of orton.
Tried a new technique this time. Turquoise base coat with Devlan Mud wash and then Ice Blue stippling/dry brushing.
A familiar image of the lovely planet Jupiter from the Voyager missions, with fake Holga or Lomo effect added to make it more interesting. The overall darkening I kept because I like it dark. I like mystery.

MADDALAM: The maddalam or madhalam is a drum made out of the wood of the jackfruit tree. It has two sides for playing, made out of leather, and has different kind of sounds on each side. The maddalam is a heavy instrument which is hung around the waist of the person playing, and the player stands all the while to perform.

These were all taken in my bathroom with the lights off, the way I got different lighting was by shining partial light on certain parts i wanted illuminated for the shot, the streaks are created by showing the camera the light directly in front of it.
All of these were taken on a long exposure, and each displays a different style of lighting.
