More than 700 applicants attended the DMPS Educator Fair at the Iowa Events Center on Saturday, January 11. The district plans to fill approximately 200 positions for next school year. Thank you to everyone who attended, and for the great work that went into another successful career fair!

The District is using a set of ecological and performance based data points to make determinations related to instructional modality. Some students, including students with disbailities, English Language Learners and students determined to be most vulnerable, have been identified as needing in-person service based on these data points. As an example, we have approximately 600 students with disabilites being served in person in our schools at this time. That number changes based on data.

Walton served as the Librarian of the Michigan State Normal School and Michigan State Normal College from 1892-1932 when she died. She was instrumental in planning the first library building on campus, now known as Ford Hall.

Dublin City Schools welcomed its new teaching staff during a special orientation held July 28 in the Dublin High School Media Center. Superintendent Dr. Fred Williams introduced district staff team members to the newest additions to the DCS family. The new teachers were treated to breakfast courtesy of Jay Jenkins (American Fidelity) and lunch courtesy of the Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE). Chris Cook, Travis Patisaul and Alex Graham of Capital City Bank also spoke to the new teachers. Preplanning is set for Aug. 2-4, and schools will welcome students Aug. 5.
