TypeTogether was entrusted to develop QlikView Sans, a custom four-style typeface for the software company QlikTech International, which specialises in web-based applications for self-service data visualisation. The primary goals were to create a typeface that performs well on digital platforms in small pixel sizes, works naturally and effectively with large amounts of data, and unifies the look and feel of Qlik’s products internationally. TypeTogether added carefully chosen humanistic elements to grotesque letter structures to create an exclusive typeface that excels in function, clarity, and has an easygoing tone — QlikView Sans. TypeTogether makes tailored typefaces for organizations all over the world, so please get in touch if you’d like to discuss your organization’s needs for custom typefaces.

This is Rover, a 5 year old male Beagle mix.

You won't find a more handsome, regal beagle south of the Mason-Dixon Line, we promise! Rover is the Smokey Robinson of the shelter: sweet, soulful eyes with a smooth, easygoing personality. He's a beagle tried-and-true, with his nose almost always to the ground. We think Rover is sniffing around for this thing called "home," this place the sometimes feels far away to a little shelter dog. Rover is itching for his own home. He'd do well with other dogs and children, but he's also a pretty independent spirit, who can entertain himself with all the delicious smells around the house while you're away at work. He'd be a great pick for someone who wants a friendly dog who is rather self-sufficient. Now, that doesn't mean he wouldn't love a snuggle, or a belly rub, or a nap beside you. He's just not a demanding sort.

I volunteered at PAWS Atlanta. I took photos of some of the dogs and cats that need homes. I thought I'd also remind people you can find great pets at shelters and in rescue groups. And of course, help control the pet population, please spay and neuter your pets!!

Bhutan life.

Bhutanese children are reasonably bilingual (read, write, understand and speak) from the second grade on up. This is more than can be said for most other nations' seven-year-olds.

We have so many expectations of a summer, nice weather, swimming, easygoing outdoorlife, looooooooong, lasting "forever"... The last week has been as we (many of us) want it to be, warm and sunny, hardly a cloud in the sky...

For all you people who need to unwind ...

'Spring Grove'...sounds like a level out of vintage Sonic The Hedgehog but is actually a pub (and formerly renovated hotel) in lovely leafy Kingston. A short (but somewhat confusing) walk from Kingston Rail Station, The Spring Grove lives in an area quiet enough for me be able to stand in the middle of the road for long enough to take multiple pictures of the front (as you can see in the pictures)

It is some shade of gunmetal grey and stands a very noticeable 3 stories high at the end of Bloomfield Rd. It used to be the Spring Grove Hotel - and you can see - the building has some character and age. As for how It feels 'light' here in the main part, well designed for light to come through the various windows and a central skylight. How about human ambiance? The staff wear checked shirts and are young, probable students with minimal to moderate amounts of tattoos. One wears a Scroobius Pip t-shirt under her checked shirt. It's a chill, youthful atmosphere here. Maybe it's all that Kingston Uni shit rubbing off on the surrounding area?

As for the food and drink, they seem to be keen on Meantime's ales, along with, obviously, their own range of Young's beers. They could probably do better on the cider choices - they only have Aspall (not that there's anything wrong with Aspall). The food is basically pushing 'gastropub' (but perhaps not quite at THAT level of price and ATTENTION TO DETAIL). The Cote De Bouef platter shared between me and my buddy Adam was pretty legit (even though they told me they wouldn't do it blue). All in all it's not the most memorable or unusual pub I've been to, but for consistency, easygoing atmosphere, area (and a beautiful area it is)... plus that amazing garden - I would recommend it!

A requested shoot, as a gift for their mother's birthday.

They wished a relaxed, easygoing picture.

This picture was selected for the gift.

This pretty girl is EDWINA, a 2-3 year old Collie/Aussie mix who’s gentle, affectionate and people-oriented. She has a rather submissive side, so will need kind handling and training to help her build her confidence. Since she’s very attentive, food-motivated and eager to please, she should be a great dog to train.

Edwina is looking for a kind, calm home; she would probably do best as an only dog, but might get along with a younger, easygoing male canine companion.

Edwina lives in Kennel 1.

Welcome to the internet home of the Fernwood Road Cafe. This beautiful little spot on Salt Spring Island is the dreamchild of Jennifer and David Shaw. Transplants from North Vancouver (though Jennifer has a long family history with Salt Spring), Jennifer and David purchased the Fernwood Road Cafe on October 1, 2011 and have been living the Island dream since.

Coming from a background as a lawyer, a custom cake designer (yes, those are wildly different professions) and years of coffee education at Starbucks, Jennifer brings a history of business and a desire to give 110% to everything that she does. Whether it’s making your favorite non-fat, half-sweet, decaf, extra hot, wet vanilla cappuccino or serving up a slice of her Grandma’s Secret Recipe lemon cake, Jennifer strives to do her best.

His background in the travel industry (Evergreen Tours) and many years of working for Islanders’ favorite transportation company, gives David a unique perspective on Island life and the challenges of a community reliant on tourism and restricted transportation links. David’s easygoing manner hides his serious side, but there is nothing more serious that making sure that every patron at the cafe has an enjoyable experience.

At Fernwood Road Cafe, we are here for the long run. We strive to be a part of the community and are always looking for new ways to bring people together to talk, play and expand their horizons.

American singer Bing Crosby (1903-1977) was a crooner whose signature song was 'White Christmas'. He often played 'happy-go-lucky fellas' in films which included the 'Road to...' comedies from 1940 to 1962, but he proved that he could act with The Country Girl (1954) opposite Grace Kelly. Crosby was a multi-media entertainer: a star on the radio, in the cinema and in chart-topping recordings. He had 38 no. 1 singles, which surpassed Elvis Presley and The Beatles.

Bing Crosby was born Harry Lillis Crosby, Jr. in Tacoma, Washington, in 1903. He was the fourth of seven children of Catherine Helen "Kate" (Harrigan) and Harry Lowe Crosby, a brewery bookkeeper. Crosby studied law at Gonzaga University in Spokane but was more interested in playing the drums and singing with a local band. Bing and the band's piano player, Al Rinker, left Spokane for Los Angeles in 1925. In the early 1930s, Bing's brother Everett sent a record of Bing singing 'I Surrender, Dear' to the president of CBS. His live performances from New York were carried over the national radio network for 20 consecutive weeks in 1932. His radio success led Paramount Pictures to include him in the musical comedy The Big Broadcast (Frank Tuttle, 1932), a film featuring radio favourites. His songs about not needing a bundle of money to make life happy had the right message for the decade of the Great Depression. He was the star of such radio shows as 'Kraft Music Hall' (1935-1946), 'Philco Radio Time' (1946-1949), 'The Bing Crosby Chesterfield Show' (1949-1952), and 'The Bing Crosby Show' (1954-1956). His song 'White Christmas' became the bestselling single for more than 50 years until overtaken in 1997 by 'Candle in the Wind', Elton John's tribute to the late Princess Diana.

Bing Crosby's relaxed, low-key style carried over into the series of 'Road to...' comedies he made with pal Bob Hope and Dorothy Lamour. The series consists of Road to Singapore (Victor Schertzinger, 1940), Road to Zanzibar (Victor Schertzinger, 1941), Road to Morocco (David Butler, 1942), Road to Utopia (Hal Walker, 1946), Road to Rio (Norman Z. McLeod, 1947), Road to Bali (Hal Walker, 1952), and The Road to Hong Kong (Norman Panama, 1962). He won the Best Actor Oscar for playing the easygoing priest Father Chuck O'Malley in Going My Way (Leo McCarey, 1944), and was nominated for his reprise of the role in The Bells of St. Mary's (1945) opposite Ingrid Bergman the next year, becoming the first of six actors to be nominated twice for playing the same character. He showed that he was indeed an actor as well as a performer when he played an alcoholic actor down on his luck opposite Grace Kelly in The Country Girl (George Seaton, 1954). Stagecoach (Gordon Douglas, 1966) with Ann-Margret, was his last major film. Though it did not get good reviews, his performance as the drunken doctor was praised. Playing golf was what he liked to do best. Bing Crosby died at age 74 playing golf at a course outside Madrid, Spain, after completing a tour of England that had included a sold-out engagement at the London Palladium. On 13 October 1977, the day before Crosby's death, independent producer Lew Grade announced that he was reuniting Crosby, Bob Hope, and Dorothy Lamour onscreen for the film Road to the Fountain of Youth, ending several years of speculation at to whether the trio would reunite professionally or not. Bing Crosby was married twice: first, he married film actress Dixie Lee. They had four children and divorced in 1952. He married his second wife, Kathryn Grant, in 1957. They had three children and remained together till his death in 1977. His eldest son Gary Crosby criticised Bing's violent ways as a father in the biography 'Going My Own Way' (1983) which was touted as a "Daddy Dearest". Bing's children from his second marriage, including daughter and actress Mary Crosby, praised him as a kind and loving father in later life. Phil Crosby, Jr., Bing's grandson, formed a jazz quartet in the Los Angeles area and is bringing a semi-resurgence of interest in Bing and his music.

There are moments like "only there and then" but sometimes you are reminded of how fragile life is, birth, blooming, fading away. Moments of happiness and moments of sorrow and sadness. This very moment in August 2009 on a beautiful summerday there was no place for thinking of fading away.

Tiana is a hostess at a lovely Italian restaurant on the boardwalk in a nearby town. Between customers, I asked if she would take a photo. She mentioned that she is considering putting together a portfolio. I offered to take some outdoor portraits if she wishes. She was very kind and easygoing and I wish her well in her professional life. I seldom use my 135 mm L lens for portraits and am trying to get accustomed to that focal length. I usually use 85 mm when taking shots for the Strangers project.

In 2002 Spirit became the first Montana Grizzly to be placed at the Center. As a six-year-old, mother of two, Spirit was known by Fish, Wildlife and Parks biologists as "Easy" because of her easygoing personality and was often seen roaming the beach or golf course near the community in Whitefish, Montana. She obtained some human food and was passing on this behavior to both her cubs. Although she never was involved with aggressive tendency toward humans, it was only a matter of time before a dangerous situation became a reality. Spirit was relocated six times, but continued to return to the golf community even after intensive aversive conditioning with the use of Karelian Bear Dogs, cracker shells and rubber bullets. After one of her cubs was killed by a car, officials decided to remove the other cub by placing it in captivity at the Denver Zoo, and then to remove Spirit from the wild forever. Soon after arriving at the Center, this bear received the name Spirit in honor of the spritual signigicance of grizzlies to many Native American people.

GENEVA is a pretty, 4-5 month old Plott Hound/Pit mix puppy who’s very social and playful. She loves everyone she meets, likes her toys, and is playful with other dogs (since she can be a little rude with other dogs, she would be best placed with an easygoing, playful, male dog!). She’s very interested in food, so should be a wonderful puppy to train :-)Geneva will be lots of fun for an energetic, committed family who’ll enjoy giving her good exercise and taking her to puppy class.

Geneva lives in Kennel 15.

Grillade, More details on Wcities.com. First, its pronounced gree-yahd. Second, Grillade is comprised of vocalist Regan Fykes, producer Keelay, guitarist Nate Mercerau and backing band The Park. Third, the San Francisco-based band makes soul music that's fundamentally smooth and easygoing but consistently retains enough rough-hewn edges to keep the music interesting and engaging. A big part of those edges comes from Fykes's brassy, operatic croon and Mercerau's guitar hero theatrics.

To tell you the truth, we didn't really know what to expect from Mt. Evans. I had pressured my parents into driving south to find more aspen forests that had turned yellow, and this was a park that caught my eye on the web. To our surprise, the drive was beautiful, and the mountain road was quite easygoing and smooth.

Once we reached the end of the road (they closed the last 5-mile stretch to the top), we came upon a beautiful, glacial lake called Summit. I love that it's framed by the snowy peak of Mt. Evans.

Thanks to Ethan along with Hugin software who helped me produce this panorama from four photos. I need to take advantage of the panorama feature on my camera more often, because clearly it works quite well.

If I went back to Colorado, I'd have to consider going to Mt. Evans again, because I thought it was a remarkable place for a day trip.
