It's funny because when you're a child, you believe you can be anything you want to be, go wherever you want to go. There are no limits. You expect the unexpected, you believe in magic.
Then you grow older and that innocence is shattered. The reality of life gets in the way and you're hit by the realisation that you can't be all you wanted to be, that you just might have to settle for a little bit less. Why do we stop believing in ourselves? Why do we let facts and figures and anything but dreams rule over our lives? But now my mind is changed again. Nothing is impossible. It was there all the time. I just wasn't reaching out far enough, that's all. Nothing is impossible.

I am almost done with school and I feel like I can do anything. I will do anything. anything I feel like doing.
I only had school from monday to wednesday. :) on wednesday I went shopping with my mum and sister and I got many new clothes, for the first time in months.
on thursday and friday I went to a party and Nina and me slept in my car and it was fun and easygoing.
on the weekend I was lazy and procrastinated because I'm not good at studying anymore and my motivation is gone.
I like that little by little other things than school are getting important again. I'm starting to live and I have never enjoyed it as much before.

I'm not sure what these pedestrians were doing walking across the ramp at Shannon. Maybe they had disembarked from an aircraft. In any case no one came to any harm, despite the more easygoing health and safety practices in those days.

Let me try to describe myself... or at least, what I know about myself: I'd say that I'm a rather complicated person. But after all, aren't we all complicated?
I'm an easygoing person, unless you say or do something that's against my principles. I can't stand prejudices, about emo/goth/other scene's, race, background or whatever. I hate drunks and droggies.
If you want my honest opinion, I'll give it to you, no exceptions. I'm not a backstabber, I always speak my mind.
I don't love going out when you're speaking of discotheques or ordinairy parties. What I prefer are gigs and festivals. Because, even though I'm a girl, I do love mushpits, crowdsurfing en stagediving.
Strangely enough, I am afraid of the dark. So after a concert, there always has to be someone to walk me home. I'm working on this though.
Oh, and I'm the kind of person that still actully BUYS CD's and LP's. That's not being stupid, it's just a matter of respect. All those bands make the effort to provide us with good music, put all there time and energy in it... than it's only fair to give them the money they earn.

Three weeks in a row of heading out the the field and I couldn't be happier! Today's field trip was down to Ash Cave in the Hocking Hills. An easygoing hike with some killer sights, it was hard choosing a few a of my favorite pictures made that morning.

New Orleans, Louisiana is a very unique town. Lot of character, vibe and fun things to do there. And while I will post more details about the city and its history in future uploads, I wanted to start my photographic journey by something related to New Orlean's nickname: The Big Easy. Many theories behind how people came up with this nickname. Some say it was due to the rich musical history of the city and how easy it was for musicians to land gigs in New Orleans. According to another theory a local newspaper writer, Betty Guillaud, came up with this name when she compared the laid back and relaxed way of life of New Orleans compared to tha fast paced and hurried life of "Big Apple" (New York City). One thing is for sure though, New Orleans residents had a very relaxed, perhaps "Big Easy", attitude towards aclohol consumption during Prohibition and that's another theory about how people came up with this name. Whatever the case may be, New Orleans definitely justifies it's nickname.

Στο μελλον θα αναρτησω περισσοτερες φωτογραφιες της πολης συμπεριλαμβανοντας πληροφοριες για την ιστορια της. Θα ξεκινησω ομως αναλυοντας το πως απεκτησε το προσωνυμιο της: The Big Easy. Πολλες θεωριες υπαρχουν σχετικα με αυτο. Καποιοι λενε οτι οφειλεται στην πλουσια μουσικη ιστορια της πολης και το ποσο ευκολο ηταν σε νεους μουσικους να καθιερωθουν στο μουσικο στερεωμα της τζαζ (κατα βαση) σκηνης. Συμφωνα με μια αλλη θεωρια, μια δημοσιογραφος τοπικης εφημεριδας, η Betty Guillaud, σκεφτηκε το συγκεκριμενο ονομα οταν συνεκρινε το χαλαρο και ηρεμο τροπο ζωης της πολης σε σχεση με αυτον της Νεας Υορκης (The big apple) που χαρακτηριζεται απο ταχεις ρυθμους. Last Sunday morning, we hopped on our bikes and headed to Schelderode for an easygoing concert in the charming Sint-Martinuskerk. Blues legend Roland Van Campenhout jammed alongside Nils de Caster and Sara De Smedt. Nils may not be a household name, but he is definitely not a novice when it comes to playing a variety of instruments. And Sara? Her voice is pure magic. All in all, it was a different but definitely awesome start to our Sunday – Schelderode, Belgium.
The Orchard Oriole (Icterus spurious) is an easygoing bird, as evidenced by the fact that they nest in close proximately to other birds quite happily. In fact, they will occasionally benefit from more aggressive nesters—such as kingbirds—who ward off potential predators, while they sit idly by. These birds are nectar lovers, and serve as very active pollinators. While they feast on the flowery goodness of blooming trees, their heads become covered in pollen…pollen that then finds its way into the next flower up in the next tree!

I don’t need big adventures.
I need morning routines and memories and a little bit of familiarity in the unknown. I need slow moments and tea and comfortable clothes. I need time to think and grasp and to be alone as much as shared moments by the fire.

I recently spent a week in the Auvergne in France and it was one of my favourite holidays I’ve been on. The people I was with were easygoing, everyone did their own thing every now and then, the countryside made me feel so calm, and I especially enjoyed all the little moments and daily routines.
Large, athletic hunters who work nights, Black and Tan Coonhounds are friendly, easygoing hounds who love company. They are snoozy by the fireside but tenacious when on the trail of the wily raccoon. The Black and Tan Coonhound is a real American original.
...is the name of the cat who lives at our daughter’s home nearby. He is the quietest cat we know and the most easygoing as well. He gets along well with the two dogs who also live there.

Vonitsa is an easygoing place at Aitoloakarnania in Western Greece where we spend part of our vacations every summer. I enjoy the relaxed feeling of this place with the beautiful harbour and the magnificent castle. Its people ride their bikes, enjoy good food and local music at summer fests.

When school is out, and the miniature park train runs all day long, its clear and hollow whistle echoing off the lake’s far shores.
When the sunlight is finally warm again; and the green, dark forest shade is even cooler.
Days melt down slow into a pale purple dusk like pages straight out of “To Kill A Mockingbird”
And the abrasive drone of the 17 year locusts finally fades..replaced with the more familiar cadence of our local heat bugs.
Fireworks stands pop up overnight like so many gaudy yellow mushrooms, hawking pyrotechnics that strain to remind us of what the 4th of July is really all about.
Lush, verdant landscapes as far as the eye can see, watered by slow moving thunderstorms from time to time, filled with the sweet scent of newly mown grass..grass that someone else had to cut.
So now it is time to resume our daily lives, to go back to meeting friends, not to be afraid to get close to others, to remembering how it used to be before the pandemic hit.
And so today’s Summer Soltice celebrates our longest day….warm, sunlit, and humid as hell.
Or for the pessimist it marks the turning point where we begin to slowly, slowly slide down into Winter’s icy, colorless grasp.
To them…..Carpe Diem ! Bring on the heat…and the Gin & Tonics (with two limes) please.

From Rheinsberg, you can take different boat tours that take you across Grienericksee and the neighbouring lakes. Every tour starts with a wide turn at the end of Grienericksee where Schloß Rheinsberg is located. Which means you're getting a good view of the attractions right at the start. And after that, it is raw and unadulterated Brandenburg lake views until the end: lakes, some boats, forests reaching until the edge of the lakes, reeds and some smaller settlements. That's all. A bit boring but nice and easygoing.

American Foxhounds are good-natured, low-maintenance hounds who get on well with kids, dogs, even cats, but come with special considerations for prospective owners. They are closely associated with Revolutionary heroes and the rolling estates of old Virginia.
The easygoing Great Dane, the mighty "Apollo of Dogs," is a total joy to live with, but owning a dog of such imposing size, weight, and strength is a commitment not to be entered into lightly. This breed is indeed great, but not a Dane.

2023 Photo 311/54 Great way to start a vacation! With blue lights flashing on his cruiser, an easygoing Florida highway patrolman fills out an accident report on my car and the car that hit me from the rear during super-busy after-dark rush-hour traffic. Nobody hurt. We were just about to turn off of I-295 South in Jacksonville onto Beach Boulevard to make a beeline to the beach when we were rearended. I'd thrown my brakes on to miss a woman in front of me after she threw her brakes on, only to be plowed into by the woman behind me. The follower's Honda CR-V deployed airbags and probably was totaled. My rented Ford Explorer received rear bumper damage. My car didn't touch the car in front of me, so at least no fault for me. ©2023 | John M. Hudson

For once, I leave the familiar path of my photography. I would like to share this picture with you in a personal story that happened to me a long time ago. It was in 1991, when I traveled with the motorbike to Egypt to experience the Middle East close up. I was young, easygoing and adventurous. It was the year when the first Gulf War took place, just when I arrived in Egypt. First I drove from Alexandria to Cairo and from there into the Libyan desert. She was gorgeous and fascinated me, like nothing before. But in the first oasis, where I wanted to stay a few days, it happened. I was stolen by a tourist guide my entire camera equipment. This was a terrible event for me because I trusted this guide and I could not document my journey from this time on. When I returned to Cairo a few weeks later, I decided with my remaining money to buy another camera. Only, a new camera I could never afford. So what to do? I prayed to God for help. (I really did). There was not one hour, when I passed a shop window, where I could not believe my eyes. There was an old Canon camera for sale. I was amazed that she was offered for purchase in a normal coffee shop.(Probably she was also stolen from someone). But that was my last hope to get a camera at a price I could pay. It was written with 400 DM (German Mark !!!) and I could still lower it to 300 DM.
Since 1991, I am the proud owner of my first and real professional camera and I regretted the purchase of this piece of jewelry not a single day, because the camera made excellent pictures and it still works today! This fully mechanical analog camera can be operated even without a battery, which can not be said of today's modern digital cameras. (The F1 was the first professional Canon Camera and is now 47 years old.)
Somehow wistfully, I look back at these analogue times, because the photographing was still really a very different thing than today. I miss the mechanical and original element, but I do not want to do without the digital technology. So there are two hearts in my chest.

Visited the lake at a nearby arboretum over the weekend. It was sunny and a bit chilly but the geese and ducks didn't seem to mind at all.
It was fun to sit and just watch them ambling back and forth, casually going here and there.
We noted the Canada geese mostly seemed to be paired off - only to discover later in the day, and much to our surprise, that romance was definitely in the air!
