This image was one I created with the help of a bubble blower and the perfect sun reflection. Although this shot took a while to get the bubble to stay over the flower, it ended up paying off. When shooting this image I focused on the flower within and created a joyful easygoing mood within an image of a flower.

Abby again. She is a wild and carefree spirit. It makes her unique and I believe it's her best quality! <3

It's funny because when you're a child, you believe you can be anything you want to be, go wherever you want to go. There are no limits. You expect the unexpected, you believe in magic.

Then you grow older and that innocence is shattered. The reality of life gets in the way and you're hit by the realisation that you can't be all you wanted to be, that you just might have to settle for a little bit less. Why do we stop believing in ourselves? Why do we let facts and figures and anything but dreams rule over our lives? But now my mind is changed again. Nothing is impossible. It was there all the time. I just wasn't reaching out far enough, that's all. Nothing is impossible.

I am almost done with school and I feel like I can do anything. I will do anything. anything I feel like doing.

I only had school from monday to wednesday. :) on wednesday I went shopping with my mum and sister and I got many new clothes, for the first time in months.

on thursday and friday I went to a party and Nina and me slept in my car and it was fun and easygoing.

on the weekend I was lazy and procrastinated because I'm not good at studying anymore and my motivation is gone.

I like that little by little other things than school are getting important again. I'm starting to live and I have never enjoyed it as much before.

Mae is the new girl to town. She is quiet and reserved. She is the nice girl, she tends to try and make friends with everyone. Her style is simple and girly.

Deedee is the adopted daughter of the hottest couple around, Dylan Mckay & Harley Davidson. She knows she is well set in life, however, she is also friendly. She is very athletic, and participates in volleyball, softball, track, basketball, and tennis.

Stacia is the younger sister of well known models Daria & Honey Ryder. She is very popular with the guys, girls do not seem to understand her. She is very friendly and easygoing. She has a range of styles, she will almost always be seen in some type of dress or skirt though. She is only a member of the basketball cheer squad. Originally to be closer to her now ex boyfriend, Mikey Pine who is a member of the basektball team.

Hi there, my name is Jinsei.

Let me try to describe myself... or at least, what I know about myself: I'd say that I'm a rather complicated person. But after all, aren't we all complicated?

I'm an easygoing person, unless you say or do something that's against my principles. I can't stand prejudices, about emo/goth/other scene's, race, background or whatever. I hate drunks and droggies.

If you want my honest opinion, I'll give it to you, no exceptions. I'm not a backstabber, I always speak my mind.

I don't love going out when you're speaking of discotheques or ordinairy parties. What I prefer are gigs and festivals. Because, even though I'm a girl, I do love mushpits, crowdsurfing en stagediving.

Strangely enough, I am afraid of the dark. So after a concert, there always has to be someone to walk me home. I'm working on this though.

Oh, and I'm the kind of person that still actully BUYS CD's and LP's. That's not being stupid, it's just a matter of respect. All those bands make the effort to provide us with good music, put all there time and energy in it... than it's only fair to give them the money they earn.

I'm not sure what these pedestrians were doing walking across the ramp at Shannon. Maybe they had disembarked from an aircraft. In any case no one came to any harm, despite the more easygoing health and safety practices in those days.

► █░▓ And what are they like, those inhabitants?

Open and restrained. Social, talkative and politely muted. Easygoing and (sometimes) hard handed. Friendly and inwardly, as not to be intrusive. Classy and shabby. Witty and straightforward. Discernible and naive. But never — rejecting! No-one and nobody ever gets rejected. Well, foreign armies. They alone.

It’s a big city — not perhaps in global terms, but sure regionally. It’s the only 1M+ urban settlement in Serbia, but so are Budapest in Hungary or Bucharest in Romania. It’s been called “the capital of Balkan”. Exaggerated? Well it used to be the capital of Yugoslavia. Whatever the so-called 'independence' achieved by the others now, they can only dream of the allure and air still present in and around Belgrade. It is not a polished lifeless museum; it's a living conglomerate taking over upon impressions of the past generations. If you need to see the nicely fixed collection of old things, the museums, go to Ljubljana (though Belgrade has more of those too). If you like swimming, beach fashion and life, go to the Adriatic. But if you like diving in the streets brimming with life, interact to become part of it... and not only meet locals when you order food and check menus in the restaurants — Belgrade is the place.

Whatever the size of Athens or Istanbul, Belgrade — unlike them — lies right at one of the Europe’s principal crossroads. That's its blessing and its curse: it's an unavoidable geopolitical target, when those times come. And they come. Often. But its population is up to the challenges. Peace times are critical: many have succumbed to the temptation to imitate the West without actually understanding it, becoming less themselves in the process; some have gone astray, self-destructive way. But collectively? They never forget their roots. In spite of what the envious may say about it. In their inferiority, the embittered critics have just decided not to enjoy Belgrade's hospitality any more.

New Orleans, Louisiana is a very unique town. Lot of character, vibe and fun things to do there. And while I will post more details about the city and its history in future uploads, I wanted to start my photographic journey by something related to New Orlean's nickname: The Big Easy. Many theories behind how people came up with this nickname. Some say it was due to the rich musical history of the city and how easy it was for musicians to land gigs in New Orleans. According to another theory a local newspaper writer, Betty Guillaud, came up with this name when she compared the laid back and relaxed way of life of New Orleans compared to tha fast paced and hurried life of "Big Apple" (New York City). One thing is for sure though, New Orleans residents had a very relaxed, perhaps "Big Easy", attitude towards aclohol consumption during Prohibition and that's another theory about how people came up with this name. Whatever the case may be, New Orleans definitely justifies it's nickname.

Tibetans take a moment's rest while doing circumambulations (kora) of the famous Jokhang Temple in Lhasa, Tibet. There is no greater happiness for your average Tibetan than to be immersed in the recitation of the Mani mantra, the mantra of Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of Compassion, while walking around this most revered temple in all of Tibet. The Chinese are not able to take this away from them--their inner life and practice and the boundless heart it generates.

They said because of both okapis’ relaxed temperaments, staff is able to successfully provide necessary care, and the opportunity for both mom and baby to thrive.

The Highland Cow is a Scotish breed of cattle. Both males and females have horns. They are gentle, easygoing and affectionate and are becoming popular as companion and petting zoo animals.

The Orchard Oriole (Icterus spurious) is an easygoing bird, as evidenced by the fact that they nest in close proximately to other birds quite happily. In fact, they will occasionally benefit from more aggressive nesters—such as kingbirds—who ward off potential predators, while they sit idly by. These birds are nectar lovers, and serve as very active pollinators. While they feast on the flowery goodness of blooming trees, their heads become covered in pollen…pollen that then finds its way into the next flower up in the next tree!

The orchard oriole photographed here is a juvenile, and hasn't yet taken on adult plumage.

I don’t need big adventures.

I need morning routines and memories and a little bit of familiarity in the unknown. I need slow moments and tea and comfortable clothes. I need time to think and grasp and to be alone as much as shared moments by the fire.

I don’t need big adventures. I just need all of the little things.

I recently spent a week in the Auvergne in France and it was one of my favourite holidays I’ve been on. The people I was with were easygoing, everyone did their own thing every now and then, the countryside made me feel so calm, and I especially enjoyed all the little moments and daily routines.

Vonitsa is an easygoing place at Aitoloakarnania in Western Greece where we spend part of our vacations every summer. I enjoy the relaxed feeling of this place with the beautiful harbour and the magnificent castle. Its people ride their bikes, enjoy good food and local music at summer fests.

The easygoing Great Dane, the mighty "Apollo of Dogs," is a total joy to live with, but owning a dog of such imposing size, weight, and strength is a commitment not to be entered into lightly. This breed is indeed great, but not a Dane.

Pugs are friendly, adaptable pups who are happy to live in small spaces or houses with a big, fenced yard—basically, anywhere with you by their side. These small dogs have an easygoing personality and love naps almost as much as they love people. From Rheinsberg, you can take different boat tours that take you across Grienericksee and the neighbouring lakes. Every tour starts with a wide turn at the end of Grienericksee where Schloß Rheinsberg is located. Which means you're getting a good view of the attractions right at the start. And after that, it is raw and unadulterated Brandenburg lake views until the end: lakes, some boats, forests reaching until the edge of the lakes, reeds and some smaller settlements. That's all. A bit boring but nice and easygoing.

Kissimmee, FL

In times when Americans yearn for national unity, it's comforting to know that the USA has a rock-solid symbol of togetherness: the Monument of States.

The Monument was the brainstorm of Dr. Charles Bressler-Pettis (1889-1954), who added the Pettis to his name as part of a deal to inherit money from Alphonso Pettis, his elderly uncle. Charles, whose medical school training may also have been paid for by Alphonso, became the personal physician to his uncle, who lived to be almost 99. But Charles grew impatient with Alphonso's long life. Charles left Alphonso, got married, and spent several years touring the world with his bride, spending his still-alive uncle's money. When Alphonso died, Charles and his wife moved in with her dad in Florida, and the couple eventually settled in Kissimmee.

Charles, who clearly liked to travel, became founder and president of Kissimmee's All-States Tourist Club and a well-known local character. As "Ambassador of Goodwill" for the Lions Club he would drive around in his customized slogan-covered purple and gold Cadillac, telling people he was from "Kiss Mee." Charles was also known for his bushy beard, which he would shave off once every year as a promotional stunt. His widow told the Orlando Sentinel in 1971, "When he went into things, he went all the way."

In early 1941, impressed with the variety of rocks collected by his fellow All-States Tourist Club members, Charles got the idea for a monument made of at least one rock from every U.S. state. He was possibly inspired by the Fireplace of States in Minnesota, and had no greater goal than to promote the Club and boost tourism in Osceola County. But the December 7 sneak attack on Pearl Harbor changed Charles's perspective, giving his monument a noble purpose -- American solidarity -- and kicking its construction into high gear.

Governors and mayors sent rocks. President Roosevelt sent a rock. Local businesses and residents donated 507 bags of cement to help build the Monument. When it was dedicated on March 28, 1943, the ceremonies were led by Claude Pepper, senior U.S. Senator from Florida. It was promoted as, "The World's Most Unique Monument," and at the time it probably was.

Technically described as "an irregular quadrilateral step-pyramid," the Monument soars 50 feet high on the shore of Lake Tohopekaliga. It's topped with a three-foot concrete Earth, a bald eagle, an American flag, and the words, "Tourist Paradise." The estimated weight of the Monument is 50 tons, not counting 3.5 tons of embedded steel reinforcing beams. All four sides are faced with 21 tiers of multi-colored concrete panels, holding an estimated 1,500 cemented-in rocks. Despite the passage of time, most of them are still there.

Donations from government officials gave the Monument respectability, but the joy of visiting it -- aside from a physical sense of national oneness -- is in spotting its quirky oddities and bric-a-brac. The Monument embraces a cannonball from Michigan, buffalo horns from Montana, brain coral from the Florida Keys, and a "petrified apple" from Wisconsin. There's a slab of Mammoth Cave from Kentucky, a chunk of Brigham Young's birthplace from Vermont, gold ore from South Dakota, volcanic lava from North Dakota, and two meteorites from Connecticut.

According to local lore, visitors who showed up while the Monument was being built had a chance to have their donations included, with their names -- such as Henry and Harriet Gabel from New York, Rose and Fred Rapp from Indiana -- etched into the Monument's wet cement. The Weddles from Illinois made several contributions, including "Human Skull" and "Human Shoe."

So popular was the Monument of States that donations continued to arrive long after it was officially completed. A few new rocks found their way onto the Monument itself while others were added to the surrounding walkways: from Alaska, Hawaii, multi-tentacled corporations, and from 21 foreign countries that had nothing to do with the United States. The easygoing residents of Kissimmee clearly felt that the more rocks, the merrier.

Walt Disney Studios contributed a blob of unidentified mineral in 1966. Five years later Disney World opened just a few miles up the highway, and that essentially ended donations to the doc's rocky monument.

Charles Bressler-Pettis joined his uncle in the afterlife in 1954. His front-page obituary in the Orlando Sentinel noted that he'd died "after suffering a dislocated elbow in a fall from a scaffold while working on a giant statue of a seeing-eye dog." Part of his remains were sent to his birthplace in Missouri. But Kissimmee made a one-time exception to its burial laws -- and entombed the rest of Charles inside the Monument of States.

Another angle to the hazelnut burfi. An unplanned encounter when I was packing the camera away. I didn't think much of it, but now I'm liking the easygoing appearance of the image.

"Riding into Summer

When school is out, and the miniature park train runs all day long, its clear and hollow whistle echoing off the lake’s far shores.

When the sunlight is finally warm again; and the green, dark forest shade is even cooler.

Days melt down slow into a pale purple dusk like pages straight out of “To Kill A Mockingbird”

And the abrasive drone of the 17 year locusts finally fades..replaced with the more familiar cadence of our local heat bugs.

Fireworks stands pop up overnight like so many gaudy yellow mushrooms, hawking pyrotechnics that strain to remind us of what the 4th of July is really all about.

Lush, verdant landscapes as far as the eye can see, watered by slow moving thunderstorms from time to time, filled with the sweet scent of newly mown grass..grass that someone else had to cut.

So now it is time to resume our daily lives, to go back to meeting friends, not to be afraid to get close to others, to remembering how it used to be before the pandemic hit.

And so today’s Summer Soltice celebrates our longest day….warm, sunlit, and humid as hell.

Or for the pessimist it marks the turning point where we begin to slowly, slowly slide down into Winter’s icy, colorless grasp.

To them…..Carpe Diem ! Bring on the heat…and the Gin & Tonics (with two limes) please.

Happy Solstice to all those Flickr friends living up here in our Northern Hemisphere. Slainte !

Last Sunday morning, we hopped on our bikes and headed to Schelderode for an easygoing concert in the charming Sint-Martinuskerk. Blues legend Roland Van Campenhout jammed alongside Nils de Caster and Sara De Smedt. Nils may not be a household name, but he is definitely not a novice when it comes to playing a variety of instruments. And Sara? Her voice is pure magic. All in all, it was a different but definitely awesome start to our Sunday – Schelderode, Belgium.
