It was an easygoing morning the day this Brown Pelican made a flyby. He checked me out as wings met water… the shutter clicked and I was delighted to get the shot. Life is Good : )
Brown Pelicans are huge, stocky seabirds. They have thin necks and very long bills with a stretchy throat pouch used for capturing fish. Their wings are very long and broad and are often noticeably bowed when the birds are gliding.
Adult Brown Pelicans are gray-brown birds with yellow heads and white necks. In breeding plumage, the back and sides of the neck turn a rich, dark reddish-brown. Immatures are gray-brown above (including the head and neck) with pale whitish belly and breast.
Brown Pelicans feed by plunging into the water, stunning small fish with the impact of their large bodies and scooping them up in their expandable throat pouches. When not foraging, pelicans stand around fishing docks, jetties, and beaches or cruise the shoreline. In flight, lines of pelicans glide on their broad wings, often surfing updrafts along wave faces or cliffs. Their wingbeats are slow, deep, and powerful.
Brown Pelicans live along southern and western sea coasts and are rarely seen inland (except at the Salton Sea in California, where they are regular in large numbers). They nest in colonies, often on isolated islands free of land predators.

Sturdy and fun loving, the Soft Coated Wheaten is a friend to one and all. She's relatively easygoing for a terrier, needs a moderate amount of exercise.
That soft, silky coat needs a lot of grooming, however, and the Wheaten can occasionally be hard headed when it comes to training.
And… The Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier is a native of Ireland !!!

The green stalls are a fun place to visit and to look for souvenirs of Paris.
I was able to get very close to it as it was very focused on consuming the wonderful nectar of these flowers! Also, it is an easygoing wasp, no need to run away from this one.

This is Einstein, saying hello back to me (with fangs and all) as he was window gazing. He is the younger of the two Ragdoll cats owned by my two friends I stayed with in San Ramon while in the Bay Area of San Francisco.
* Ragdoll is a large breed of feline with blue eyes, best known for an easygoing and mellow nature. Possibly the most loving and agreeable type of cat. The name "Ragdoll" is derived from its tendency, from the original breeding stock, to go limp and relax when picked up.
Last year, I planted Portulacas in a planter on our well. They remained without care in Autumn and Winter and reappeared at the beginning of Summer. I love the fresh and happy colours of the Wingpod Purslane flowers and the easygoing character of the plants. /
L'an dernier, j'ai mis des plants de Portulaca, une variété de Pourpier, dans une jardinière sur notre puits. Ils ont passé l'Automne et l'Hiver sans aucun soin en notre absence puis sont réapparus au début de l'Été. J'aime les couleurs vives et heureuses des fleurs de Pourpier et le coté facile de la plante, qui demande très peu de soins.
Pepper didn’t even twitch at the application of Tiara. This will be useful for next #tiaratuesday. Perhaps he’s being easygoing so I don’t remove him from desk for being on keyboard, which he was not actually being. Quite. (See past references to the passive-aggressive part of his character). U zlatnom satu mala jedrilica lagano klizi kanalom, dok se u daljini nadvija Krčki most. More zrcali tople tonove zalaska, a dan polako predaje svoje boje večeri. Nigdje im se ne žuri – luka čeka, a ljeto diše sporim, mirnim ritmom.
Easygoing on a Calm Sea
In the golden hour, a small sailboat glides gently through the channel, with the Krk Bridge rising in the distance. The sea mirrors the warm hues of sunset, as the day slowly surrenders its colors to the evening. There’s no rush – the harbor awaits, and summer breathes in a slow, calm rhythm.
There's an easygoing pace to life here. People take time to chat, to enjoy a coffee and a pastel de nata (custard tart – mandatory!)
Lisbon engages all your senses. It's the smell of grilled sardines mingling with the salty sea breeze , the sight of colourful tiles everywhere, the sound of the tram bells and chatter in Portuguese, the taste of Ginjinha (sour cherry liqueur) sipped from a tiny chocolate cup, the feeling of sun on your skin and uneven cobblestones beneath your feet.
and you don't feel rushed; you feel invited to simply be. LOve it! :-)

Fascinated by the ease with which Highland cattle move through the Hebridean landscape, I tried to find a composition to express this and render both of them equally well.

How can you hang around in such an easygoing way with such weight? And maybe still sleep at the same time? The next day, this little fellow was hanging on the somewhat more stable branches of the rose, asleep again – at least that's what I think. It couldn't have been peaceful sleep and sweet dreams, because it was very windy. Another day later, the stormy wind probably carried him away – at least I never met him again ... Cockchafer, fly ...

Am nächsten Tag hing dieser kleine Geselle an den etwas stabileren Zweigen der Rose, wieder schlafend – so glaube ich zumindest. Ruhiger Schlaf und süße Träume können es nicht gewesen sein, denn es war sehr windig. Am übernächsten Tag hat ihn der stürmische Wind wohl davongetragen – jedenfalls bin ich ihm nicht mehr begegnet ... Maikäfer, flieg ...

The sweet-faced, lovable Labrador Retriever is America's most popular dog breed. Labs are friendly, outgoing, and high-spirited companions who have more than enough affection to go around for a family looking for a medium-to-large dog.
We’re starting with a paper-scrap landscape, 5D-ready in the making. Imagine a countryside where the wind isn’t just wind but a polite editor, folding and fanning the edges of each torn page. A farmer tips his hat to the sun as if to say: “Nice weather, isn’t it? ” Trees stand like confetti piñatas, each leaf a tiny giggle of color, each branch a discreet bow to the sky.
The sky itself behaves like a stage manager, arranging clouds with a wink: “Stand by for drama, stand by for punchlines.” The barn wears a grin, its panels stitched together with glue made of good intentions and a dash of conspiratorial straw.
In this hopeful, easygoing 5D, the sun doesn’t just rise; it rolls in on a wheeled cart and makes a grand entrance, tipping its hat to the field mice who’ve organized a tiny parade, and the hills politely applaud, as if saying, “Yes, yes, soon we’ll all live in higher dimensions starting with these charming cutouts.”
We’re already gathering the images, you see tiny, cheerful fragments that rattle and flutter when you shake the frame. Words, meanwhile, tease us: they’re light, a touch ironic, rarely solemn, happy to be a little ridiculous. “Soon we’ll be 5D,” they say, “and our captions will have airquotes around reality.” And yet the cue is clear: everything here is a rehearsal for wonder.
So here’s to the paper-crafted landscape humble, humorous, and ahead of its time. The 5D show isn’t coming, it’s being printed, folded, and taped into existence one sunny, slightly mischievous scene at a time.

Orchard Orioles are relatively easygoing toward each other or other bird species, nesting in close quarters with Baltimore Orioles, Bullock’s Orioles, Eastern Kingbirds, Western Kingbirds, American Robins, and Chipping Sparrows. The aggressive kingbirds may be useful neighbors because they ward off predators and cowbirds (which lay their eggs in the nests of other birds).

This was only a short walk from the pousada. Immense and here at 0700h, completely empty. Lowering clouds indicate unseasonally poor weather -- we had chosen the driest month to visit. We saw virtually no foreign tourists anywhere during the entire stay. We detected only two Germans and one South African, curiously not a single visitor from big brother USA. So nearly all visitors were Brazilians, friendly, smiling, easygoing; I liked them a lot.

Simple and easygoing without much depth behind. That's a nice thing to have from time to time. Here's a young pine next to a birch. It is a nice collage in the bright morning light. Nothing fancy, just another beautiful random spot in a forest. Another random place around ourselves nobody notices.
A lovely, faintly flushed, cultivar of Clarkia amoena, early from seed indoors for my 100 Flowers project.
I grew Clarkia for cutting between the vegetables on an allotment many years ago, appreciating bright colours and above all its easygoing nature rather than the exquisite detail we see here...

The Lagotto Romagnolo, Italy's adorable 'truffle dog,' sports a curly coat and lavish facial furnishings. Despite their plush-toy looks, Lagotti are durable workers of excellent nose who root out truffles, a dainty and pricey delicacy.
Orchard oriole showed up in the yard today. He was on the grape jelly feeder.
Also had a Kentucky warbler and northern waterthrush in the park. Pretty good day.

Chandelle is one of my three cats. He loves this window, and spends most of the day enjoying the sunlight in this spot. During the night, he loves to observe the movement of city from there.
I made this photo with my Olympus Trip 35 with an expired Kodak ProImage film. As you may notice from my other photos, I love to use natural light when photographing my cats in the interior of the apartment (this mess under Chandelle are documents from my law office). I usually work at home, and my cats like to be of help (specially sleeping over my laptop, and trying to eat the papers being pulled in by the printer).
