The famous (though not that MOST famous) dumplings in the world!
Taken at Din Tai Fung in Arcadia, CA.
Leah made the filling and I helped to fill the dumpling wrappers. These were so easy to make and turned out so tasty!

Dumplings pictured includes a mix of the meat variety and Cabbage with mushroom variety purchased from Aga Deli, Wollongong at 30 pierogi for $14.50
To cook just boil in salted water and pan fry in butter

Shot from the exterior of a dumplings house in Chinatown, Melbourne. Shot with an Om2n on manual mode, using 50mm f/1.8 (fully open). Film used was Kodak Portra 160 NC.
They are filled with hot soup and meat. I like to eat them together with shredded gingers and vinegar. Mmm~ taste heavenly!

At Oriental City, Colindale.
With the leftover filling that I had from some boiled dumplings, I decided the knock these up and steam them. A tasty lunchtime snack. The full chinese dumpling recipe can be found at iCookFood. These are made the same, only instead of boiling, they were steamed in bamboo steamers. The photo of the original dumplings was awful, so I felt I had to get another one during daylight to do them justice.
