Delectable, delightful and damned delish dumplings at Assembly George Square Gardens.
'We. Sell. Dumplings', a super wee pop-up food hut, offer the tastiest crunchy vegetarian fried dumplings with sweet chilli and traditional Vietnamese dipping sauce.
I wish the chili oil had been spicier, but...tasty! Our fave of the bunch.

Jiǎozi is a Chinese dumpling widely spread to Japan, Eastern and Western Asia.
Jiaozi typically consist of a ground meat and/or vegetable filling wrapped into a thinly rolled piece of dough, which is then sealed by pressing the edges together or by crimping. Jiaozi should not be confused with wonton: jiaozi has a thicker, chewier skin and a flatter, more oblate, double-saucer like shape (similar in shape to ravioli), and are usually eaten with a soy-vinegar dipping sauce (and/or hot chili sauce); while wontons have thinner skin, are sphere-shaped, and are usually served in broth. The dough for the jiaozi and wonton wrapper also consist of different ingredients.
During my lunch break I started sewing the panel for the dumpling pouch. I wanted the outer panel to look like a green meadow with daisies - therefore the hexagons - and butterflies. However, I used too much neutrals / low volume prints. I'll finish this one. There should be still enough time to try something else if it's not your cup of tea. So what do you think partner?
We had a dumpling-making party with some friends. This is a good way to do it -- you get to make hundreds, then take some home for eating later.
a rst i've been wanting to try after a few time of passing by it.... and finally remember to chk it out on a night that i have completely no idea on what to have for dinner. when we got there, there was only 1 table that was occupied. the place was empty! but after chking out their menu from outside and saw their "A", good enough for me to go in! their onion pancake was average, their 小籠包 (siu lung bao) and 水餃 (dumplings) were surprisingly GOOD!!! very juicy and 新鮮... after that ONE table left, it was just me and jimbo in the rst!!! dont understand y the place got no biz on a sat night when the food was good and the rst being so CLEAN! oh well, i know i'm going back for sure!!!
