Due to lack of options, a large amount of waste has been left in a school playground. Originally intended as a staging post to sort waste out for appropriate disposal, the system appears to have broken down, with a dump now as high as the school towering up and threatening to collapse. UN Environment and its partners are working with the government to restart the waste management system, deal with the accumulated waste and contribute to Dominica's recovery.

Medical waste from this clinic is dumped

Khulna. Unnecessary infrastructure like iron pipes in the middle of the river channel cause siltation and blockage in the natural river flow.

We have started the next phase of our landscaping, moving dirt from one part of our yard to another. We're giving shovels and wheelbarrow a workout.

Photographs from a five minute radius of my apartment. Glasgow is the only British city I have ever lived in where residents are encouraged to dump *any* outsized domestic waste on the kerbside for colleciton on designated days. Everything gets crushed by a rubbish truck and sent to landfill.
I went on a trip to Nicaragua. This is a garbage dump there. unlike ours here in the states people work there gathering trash and what food they can find to eat. They also live there in the dump. Be thankful for what you have.........
Na última quarta-feira (18.01), o juiz titular da 3ª Vara do Trabalho do TRT da 15ª Região (Campinas/SP), Jorge Luiz Souto Maior, ministrou o tema "As condenações por dumping social como instrumento de eficácia da legislação trabalhista e reestruturação da Justiça do Trabalho". O magistrado esclareceu que esse procedimento é uma prática utilizada pelas empresas para superar a concorrência de maneira desleal, caracterizando-se como conduta ilÃcita que atinge as esferas econômico-financeira, jurÃdica e social de um paÃs.
Segundo ele, essa prática gera dano à sociedade e é fator de precarização das relações de trabalho. Ao analisá-la, expôs que há a necessidade de reavaliar a conduta na atuação dos magistrados do Trabalho para fortalecer o combate a esses atos considerados lesivos aos trabalhadores.
Para ele, isso repercute na ordem social e ocasiona o rebaixamento de suas bases, gera prejuÃzo para toda a sociedade, bem como dificulta a melhoria das condições sociais dos trabalhadores e acarreta a supressão de direitos trabalhistas.
De acordo com a juÃza titular da 9ª Vara Alda de Barros, a participação do professor foi muito importante para esclarecer os fundamentos da condenação por dano social, aplicada de ofÃcio e de forma inovadora pelo magistrado no âmbito de sua jurisdição. "O professor toma como pressuposto a necessidade de repressão aos ilÃcitos trabalhistas com caráter de reincidência, partindo da constatação que o ilÃcito trabalhista contumaz não sofria qualquer repressão efetiva, sendo, ao contrário, premiado pela atuação jurisdicional ineficaz. Sua fala serviu para desmitificar um pouco essa posição de vanguarda, fazendo-nos refletir sobre o instituto", observou.
Ainda em sua abordagem, o magistrado fomentou a análise acerca da identificação das alterações sociais, polÃticas e econômicas na sociedade contemporânea. Também refletiu sobre a função transformadora do Direito como elemento de legitimação de novos valores, condutas e avanço.
