We scored another 1/2 ton of paper this morning and 30 gallons of
waste veggie oil in the afternoon. The God of trash is looking out for
us. While emptying the paper into a large stock tank (our storage
medium). I ended up making a little slide from the back of our truck
into the stock tank. We have a lot of bizarre photos of us laying on
mountains of paper.
Due to lack of options, a large amount of waste has been left in a school playground. Originally intended as a staging post to sort waste out for appropriate disposal, the system appears to have broken down, with a dump now as high as the school towering up and threatening to collapse. UN Environment and its partners are working with the government to restart the waste management system, deal with the accumulated waste and contribute to Dominica's recovery.

The open desert areas in the Antelope Valley can be pretty sickening when you slow down and take the time to take a closer look at all the dumping that goes on.
