Sadly, Lego hasn't come out with one of these guys yet. I made this in part because of this, but also because they are my younger sister's favorite droids (she calls them "can droids") :P I think she thinks they're cute or something. Anyway, What do you think? Improvements?

this is just the ARMY! part of the whole production.

Here is a picture of my moving droid factory. Really enjoyed this build

Probe droids (also known as probots or recon droids) were droids that were specifically designed and programmed to perform reconnaissance duties. These units were often dispatched by various space navies to gather information from a variety of different locations, reporting anything of significance as defined by specific preprogrammed protocols.

Forget dadaism, let's do dadism - geek-dadism even:

Three R2-units I built with my son.

We're going to populate this flat/planet with droids!

R2D2 whittled by younger child for me for Mother's Day 2022. He told me he was trying to think of things I liked and that he remembered that I always was happy when R2D2 appeared in whatever Star Wars show/movie we were watching, so he decided to whittle me my own R2D2.

Started with a Sandcrawler Star Wars scene from "A New Hope" but other droids demanded in.

Sorry for the long silence. Here is something from me again at last! ;D

I built this modell about a year ago in one day! It was meant to be part of a big Kashyyyk-MOC but that was taken apart before completion last summer.

However, I figured it would be nice to post this Gunship as it is. The studs for the water were bought for that MOC specially and now at least serve the purpose of presenting this small modell. ;)

There is not much playability to this ship as it was made for display.

Opinions are always very welcome!!

Now, I think we'll work our way...up. Yeah, let's go with that.

So, here is the part that I'm pleased with, even though I wish it was more accurate. As I've said before, the tri-droid is incredibly unstable, so it needs sturdy feet.

Ideally, the 'feet' should be longer, and bend inwards. However, this would be impossible to achieve as it would be hard as heel to balance it, even with the stand.

As you'll see as we move up the legs, I repeated the spikes all the way to the top, just to add a bit of pa-zazz to it.

So yeah, I've spent some time on digging out my real legos and buying new bricks. I think I had to buy at least five sets to build these guys and I used pretty much all of the nice details I owe. These are not original LEGO bricks, they are the cheap clones and I'm sorry for that. But I think these bots are still nice and I don't really build outside LDD, so... I think your comments could be really nice here))

So, if you guys have something against chinese legos, here you go:

This is a 2 floors building. It hosts a droids repair shop on the first floor, and storage, lab, and apartment on the second floor. There are 2 spots to place droids on sale behind the large front windows. Repair shop has tools for repair, diagnostics, and recharge droids.

The 5-UN model construction droid is a rugged workhorse of a robot, and has been in service under the Suntron civilisation for well over 25 standard cycles. Strong, reliable and friendly, the 5-UN is easy to work with and always happy to help - even if it can't work out why you can't drink tea through a helmet.

Small build inspired by B-U4D and B-R72, which I'm looking forward to including in future MOCs.

Some days there is nothing I like to do better than take off that stuffy old black helmet and face mask and chill out with a little bit of droid interrogation. What better way to spend the weekend? Now tell me where those reprobates have taken the Princess this time....and don't just say "a galaxy far, far away...."

I have 3 LEGO sets being built on the way, just need the final bits and pieces for the finishing product :D

I had originally planned on it being camouflage color, but then I switched to gray. Thats why there are some little green pieces in there :l

Oooh, I really wish I could've wrapped this up in three parts...

Oh well. Now, I had three choices for the neck: this or this or this. It seems I went for the third one, although a long necked one may have looked cool, but probably wouldn't have worked.

Obviously, the head is a planet, Bespin if I remember correctly. as soon as I got the planet, it was clear that this was its destiny. But, there was another reason. A brick built head would have been an absolute bloody nightmare in terms of stability. Although, saying that, stability is a nightmare anyway, so i guess there's no winning :(
