New York Comic-Con, Saturday, February7th, 2009.
If you see yourself in this or any of my other pictures, let me know in the comments, or by emailing me at loser: [at] istolethe [dot] tv.
Just having a little Photoshop fun on a Monday evening. Touch ups and notes:
Gave myself a haircut
Whitened my teeth
Got rid of some acne
Fixed some red eye
Washed out the white spot on my right thigh
Now what to do with this? I could do some background work and make it look like this was taken in a portrait studio with those little black posing stools...
Your suggestions are welcome.
today was eventful. i took gma to her doctor's appointment, and then noelle & i went to pick up my prom dress. :) i also bought a wallet from payless & looking for alaska from barnes&noble (and drank three tall cups of black coffee in the process).
it's wet and rainy. these were not so fun to take. i think i need a new prescription because in my viewfinder, these looked focused. :/ other than that, though, i'm pretty happy with the result.
almost sooc. all i did was up the contrast a little on all of them.
+3
He was still drinking from a bottle just minutes before showing of a three piece suit that made look smashing. What a cutie!
After photographing Mariah I was on the hunt for another stranger. Recently I have challenged myself to try and even out photographing men and women as I tend to be drawn to female subjects (mostly because women wear so many bright colors). So my objective was to find a male subject on a simple background to really make him jump off the page. I was wondering around for about 30 minutes when I walked into a coffee shop and grabbed a cup of coffee. On my way out Adam was leaving the shop as well. When I turned around and saw the sharp dressed man and knew I had to get an image. I asked if he was in a hurry and he told me he was on his way to a meeting about four blocks away but would definitely participate if we had a few minutes at the final destination.
As we begin to walk he told me that he was a professor of philosophy at Metropolitan State University (MSU) in Denver. He was on his way to a local coffee shop to meet with a writer/director of plays at the large playhouse Denver. I had told him that I was so pleased that he agreed to the project and I that I find that I have much better luck in larger cities and love to do this project when I travel. I loved his response, he told me, “Maybe you have better luck in bigger cities because of the anonymity. In big cities you are less nervous to talk to a stranger because somewhere in side you know that you will never see them again”. As you can tell from the image Adam was a very excitable and high energy person. For the portrait he asked if he should smile and I told him that even though I only talked with him briefly he looked like a smiler. He told me that I was right and proceeded to smile for the portrait.
Thank you Adam for the four block conversation and being a part of my project.

A series of 8 snapshots from one of the starting points at Saturdays carnival in my town Aalborg.
The 85.000 participant met at three different starting points before they walked to a big party in one of the central parks in the city centre.
This series is from the starting points at Haraldslund, - a square close to my home.
This photo is damaged but it is a favorite of mine with the corny pose, the mink stole (can you spell R-A-B-B-I-T), and the Christmas cards hanging over the fireplace.
I couldn't find any good lighting when it was time to take the daily picture, so I started to mess around with it on the computer (obviously). I'm not sure if I like the colors in this image, but it is what I decided to submit. My sweater is roughly the same shade, but the tie is actually a charcoal grey.
My parents taught me how to put on ties when I was in kindergarten and I've loved wearing them since. However, they are overdressed for my job, except for Sundays.
