Utilising a vast array of spectacular special effects, including fountains, fireworks, HD pixel-mapping projections, fire, water screens, multi-coloured lasers and a bright "Second Star to the Right" atop Sleeping Beauty Castle itself, this new signature show for Disneyland Paris will be presented every single night.

As the Second Star to the Right shines brightly in the skies above, Peter Pan flies onto the scene with Wendy following close behind. "What a perfect night for dreaming!" he proclaims, calling out for Tinker Bell to help them fly off to the star with her special pixie dust. Suddenly, Peter Pan's shadow jumps free and runs across the façade of the castle, Pan chasing behind. He grabs a hold of his feet, but the shadow pulls away only to smash right into the star, knocking its light -- and its dreams -- out!

They pour out across the castle, engulfing Peter's shadow and leading him on an epic journey through the greatest Disney Dreams ever wished upon a star. He dances with Lumière to "Be Our Guest" from Beauty and the Beast, flies on a magic carpet with Genie from Aladdin for the spectacular "Friend Like Me", meets Remy from Ratatouille in Paris and dances across the chimney tops with Bert from Mary Poppins to "Step in Time". Quasimodo, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, dreams of going "Out There" while Rapunzel dreams of seeing the mystical lights in "I See the Light" from Tangled.

Things turn sour as Dr Facilier from The Princess and Frog teaches Shadow a thing or two about be careful what you wish for. The tentacles of Ursula from The Little Mermaid twist and pull Peter's Shadow, before a fiery blast from the dragon of Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty erupts.

Finally, Captain Hook arrives on the scene, grabbing Shadow by his hook and turfing him into the waters where his ticking crocodile lies. Will Peter Pan be able to find Tinkerbell, save his Shadow and restore the magic to the Second Star to the Right, making it shine brightly in the night sky again, for dreamers around the world to wish upon?

Disney Dreams! at Disneyland Paris is an epic tale that teaches you: always believe in your dreams. Anyone can fly, and everyone can soar beyond the stars. If only you dream your dream.

Celebrating The Dream

Black History Month With the Blues singer Roy Young.

Over 500 students sang and danced along with the international Soul and Blues singer Roy Young and his band at a program to celebrate Black History Month.

Throughout the performance, Roy demonstrated the deep connection between African- American music and the struggle for equal rights as illustrated during the Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s in the United States. He engaged with many of the students personally, and got them to understand how their lives are connected to this seminal moment in American history.

Jewish and Arab students from Lod, Ramla, Tel Aviv, Hura, Tel Sheva, Kseife, Shoham, Beer Sheva, Mazkeret Batya, Kfar Yona, Taibe, Abu Tlul and Jisser A-Zarka, many of them participants of the Embassy’s English Access Microscholarhsip program, gathered together to commemorate Black History Month, and to promote and celebrate the values of tolerance, respect and equal rights for all.

Born in the hills of Jamaica, Roy Young was attracted to Soul and Blues music at an early age. Residing in Israel, Roy and his band have cooperated with the U.S. Embassy for many years, using music to promote peace, tolerance and understanding between diverse communities living in Israel.

The project was implemented in partnership with Lod Municipality.

I got a Disney Descendants Jane body for Dream Dancer today and surprisingly, the proportions match up pretty well to the original body.

Unfortunately the calves were super long so I did the only reasonable thing. I cut off the feet and lower legs, snapped off the original Ballerina feet, removed the rod inside the straight leg and foot and glued it onto the jointed body.

I honestly love the shoe molds on this body and weirdly enough the feet feel solidly glued on after i super glued some elastic over the joint…

In dreams bridges lead you nowhere.

You always end up where you started.

Could it be that you were never meant to go?

Are you meant to be the same person

tomorrow, that you were today?

When frustration is matched by desire

there can be no peace, and, the bridge will always take you home.

I had a dream, nightmare actually! I was driving when I saw a dump truck coming around the curve of an overpass on two wheels. I said to myself, “it’s going to go over the edge!” It did, and just a short distance from where I was in my vehicle. It landed upside down, the driver and a policeman (don’t ask me where he came from!) were trapped underneath.

I drove closer, staying out of the way of emergency personnel, camera in hand. I took pictures of the rescue efforts but I did it without the flash as I didn’t want to draw attention to myself. Unfortunately during one shot it fired. Two police officers came over and told me I couldn’t take pictures. One of them, a female officer, wanted to see my camera to see what I had been shooting; she was sure I had been taking unauthorized pictures of people. I told here there was nothing in that camera that was illegal.

She looked at my pictures, I’d been out shooting people that day, and handed my camera to someone else. She was talking to me and when I looked over my shoulder I saw my camera in a plastic bag with a big, red “evidence” sticker on it! I argued, stating there was nothing wrong with any of my pictures. She said it would be a month before I could get my camera back. I yelled at her, “I can’t wait that long, I live my life through my camera!” Another police officer came over and started poking me in the chest, telling me to shut up.

She wouldn’t budge, telling me I might or might not get it back. No matter what I said I couldn’t get my camera back. So I finally told her, “fine, keep it, I’ll just go out and buy a new camera right now!” So guess what camera I bought!

Aren’t dreams weird, and fun!

paint and hand embroidery on interfacing

these were created for a show directed towards the visually impaired and are intended to be held, touched and manipulated. i wanted them to still be visually interesting, aesthetically pleasing, etc...but it was challenging to think how i could incorporate texture in a different way so as to "read" the pieces with one's hands.

i imagine that the visually impaired have a heightened sense of touch, so will, perhaps, notice the nuances in stitches and surfaces. plus the verso side is a whole new experience!

On any square of the calendar, Angel Falls, the world’s highest uninterrupted waterfall, drew the eyes of hundreds. Deservingly so. But today it moved differently, vibrating like the strings of a harp—clouded, as if rethinking the pace of its own flow. One could say it had been interrupted.

Down below, the people reacted to the rumblings in far less harmony; a siren sounded, cueing most to flee. Still, from the bridge a small crowd looked on as darkness overtook the crest of the tallest mountain. Above it emerged the cause of this eclipse, something no person at that distance could quite define.

In a slow, mesmerizing descent, the structure carved across the countryside, denting sheets of land with ease. And with under a mile to go, and among the last inches of daylight, the silhouette finally took shape. A mast grew, and out from each opening of this incomprehensible vessel, arms dangled elongated and sinewy, their glow bouncing off Angel Falls and into the dusk.

Snowing here today and wishing for spring and flowers!

A dream place is the place where you wish to live in or might be living in right now. It’s where you think you can be yourself the most. It’s where you feel safe. Where you can escape the rest of the world and completely be absorbed by your surroundings. In simple terms, it is your sanctuary.

People can see their dream place in a beautiful house, a wonderful garden or a simple cozy room. It differs from one person to another. Sometimes the dream place is where one can be with their loved ones no matter where they were. A dream place can be anyplace as long as you want to call it yours.

I have not found mine yet. I’m still searching for it. To me, a dream place is where I can find my soul. Where I can be one with nature and be nothing but a simple human. It has to have a view. A breath taking view that I can forget myself beside. A lake, river, or a beach, it does not matter as long as water is there. It will be like this, the blue sky with cotton like clouds above me, soft cool wind touching my skin, and the greenery all around me. Birds singing and animals move freely all around.

If I did have to be in such a place, I would most likely be writing or painting, for sure I would be doing one of those things.

Sometimes, without even moving, I imagine I am really there, sitting on the damp grass watching Miel running around chasing birds as I sit back and watch her with a huge smile drawn on my face. How wonderful would that be!

I do not know if I am normal to have such imaginations and have such a dream place. Though I wish to live in one, even if not live, at least visit such a place and really enjoy it as I do in my dreams.

I’m always in my best mood in nature, weather under the desert stars or between the farm trees. It’s always a pleasant peaceful feeling within me. It is something that I can’t really explain. Can you? What is your dream place?

From Rebecca by Daphne DuMaurier: "Last night I dreamed that I went to Manderly again." Opening line from that book. Has to be one of the best opening lines ever!

This is a dancer who works in one of my favorite pubs ”Molly Gwynn's“. Don't know her name unfortunately, but she's incredibly beautiful!

In my dreams I prowl the nighttime woods with my camera. I am not this domesticated beast who has learned to type and to exchange what it types for access to material goods.

In my dreams, money doesn't matter. My head is not only in the clouds, it is clouds. And inside I am all dark trees, with just enough fencing to know when to stop.
