Sometimes dream can be heavy (for me it was certainly heavy, for two days I worked on this dream).This was a big challenge for me and I had to try to shoot a dream without photo manipulation and post processing. I used Lightroom for crop and some corrections of clarity and contrast. I know it could have been better, but for the first time it's not so bad.

What is it about an old abandoned home's that draw's us near? A long forgotten dream, childhood memories, I don't think it's something I can put into words myself but never the less, it draws us near. Maybe it about what was, and now can never be again. Perhaps, a forgotten dream of yesterdays.....you decide.

This is a scene at Dream Lake located in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado.
I spent a couple nights camping in the park hiking a few different trails. This was a shot from the first day I arrived. When the overcast skies developed a couple hours before sunset, I got a bit bummed. The lighting just didn't look good. But I'm glad I didn't give up as I think I captured a few keepers.

One should think that a dream fulfilled is a dream killed. If, however, the dream refuses to go away (wet or not), does it mean that there are expectations only dreams can meet? Be this as it may, the place shown here is a new and still unfinished development, Ayia Nappa Marina in Cyprus. Egyptian and Cypriot venture capital has gone into this project and the idea is to attract an international and super-rich jet set to moor their yachts here and buy a piece of luxurious real estate too. The sense of exclusivity, and the life-style entitlements going with it, are actually very important selling points. The "hoi poloi", the tourists from Europe's cities, people without money, squeezing on the beaches, driving quad bikes through Ayia Nappa (almost bare-bodied) and being rather noisy in the pubs at night, this low-class section of the populace is not wanted in or even close to the Marina. The dream, then, is carefully managed here to avoid any unpleasant collision with an alternative reality. Fuji X-Pro3.
