ich wollt auch mal so coole poser-pics machen xD

It's been a crazy year! I have lost nearly 60 lbs since the day that my husband and I dreaded my hair 12 months ago. We have traveled, seen friends get married, watched my parents move their lives to another state, my daughter began kindergarten and my littlest prepares to do the same in pre-k. I have gone from a person who would never have considered dying her hair to a person who has had every extreme hair color in the world and who has decided that she should never be anything but a red head!

Progress pics - how the dreads are looking at 8 months and 3 weeks.

How they look in relation to my face... yeah, I'm looking kind of special in this one.

I made this wig myself

It has several shades of pink, and some subtle glitter as well.

Take you steps one at a time

Leave you worries far behind

Take my hand and you will see

That life really can be easy

Nature makes it possible to believe

Love is what mother nature needs

In order to tend to eradicate all greed

When you feel down and low

Mother nature lets you know

Get outside and breathe clean air

For your body mind and soul care

I feel the need to put a new header pic on my site, so snapped a few pics.

I like this one the best and will use it on my 'About' page, and crop it for the header.

*edit* I ended up using the whole pic for the header and about page

I love making these, it gives me a chance to bust into my huge stash of beautfiul yarns! It is crochet free-hand from a number of gorgeous handspun and hand dyed wool yarns, organic cotton, recycled sari silk and banana fiber yarns. This Headband has an awesome crochet motif sewn onto it with shiny beads and a shell in the middle. It looks great on and the natural fibers in the yarn will keep your head very warm.

It will best fit a head with lots of hair or dreadlocks, just pull all your hair through the top and rock on!

The dreadlings are five months old now. Things are shaping up. I think I can possibly see them as mature dreads one day.

I love making Dreadlocks out of socks.
