Ribeira da Janela a small beautiful village located on the north coast of Madeira with its unique traditional agricultural area mainly producing potatoes, sweet potatoes and grapes from its vineyards. Ribeira da Janela sits in one of the longest valleys in Madeira and was named after a rock with a window that stands at the end of the river Ilheu da Ribeira.
The Ribeira da Janela islets, also known by the "Three Sisters" are the three towering cliffs located opposite the beach of Ribeira da Janela a beautiful town on the north coast of Madeira in the municipality of Porto Moniz.

beneath the fading madrid sky, a figure lingers on the bridge, a shadow etched into the iron curves of the railing. his hat tilts low, masking his thoughts, as if guarding a secret only the city can hear. behind him, the winged statue soars, frozen in its triumphant pose atop the mutua madrileña building, watching over the city's pulse. light and shadow play their eternal game, carving lines that stretch like the hours, fleeting and endless. madrid stands still for a moment, caught between the silhouettes of man and monument.
Beneath a fractured sky, lightning illuminates a barren landscape where the remains of nature seem to stand in silent anticipation.
A lone figure steps out of the shadows, framed by stone, silence, and light.
A moment suspended between past and present — where mystery walks hand in hand with destiny.
Black & white doesn’t remove color… it reveals truth.
the puddle was a doorway. a cut in the asphalt, opening into a world where buildings stood sharper than reality, where a figure stretched towards nothing. maybe it was a sign. maybe it meant something. or maybe it was just another wet day in madrid.

Middle East - GCC - Qatar - Bir Zekreet Desert Landscape - Spectacular rocky limestone cliffs & formations such as desert mushroom during late afternoon warm light with lovely horizontal clouds
Qatar might not be blessed with the most dramatic and spectacular landscape (besides those enormous natural resources that made Qatar one of the richest countries in the world.) therefore finding something unique is not so easy. Area of Zekreet provides some lovely desert formation created by the sea in ancient times.
This wonderful place is also featured in Night Sky around the World Time-Lapse Video among many other interesting and unique locations around the world.

For this image, I aimed for a painterly interpretation, separating the layers through light and color. The editing focuses on enhancing the three-dimensionality of the church with warm light contrasting against the overcast sky and the cool tones of the river estuary.

On a chilled December morning the quiet peace of Frobisher Bay is torn apart in the thunderous roar of a missile launch. Rocket light burns bright against the cool pastel colours of an Arctic winter. For weeks, the crew of the surfaced Ohio-class submarine had navigated the unforgiving, ice-choked waters of the northern frontier—a silent ghost patrolling the edge of the world. This morning, as the sun barely scraped the horizon in a wash of pale amber and rose, the quiet ended.
Part of a high-stakes naval exercise in Arctic defense preparedness, the launch was a flawless demonstration of strategic readiness. With a concussive boom that rippled across the frozen expanse, the hull shuddered as a Trident missile erupted from its silo. It punched through the freezing sea spray, riding a pillar of blinding fire and churning white exhaust into the sub-zero air. For a fleeting moment, the stark, snow-dusted islands and jagged mountains were illuminated by the artificial sun of the rocket’s wake, casting long, dramatic shadows over the ice. As the missile vanished into the upper atmosphere, leaving only a drifting plume of smoke against the dawn sky, the Arctic reclaimed its silence—but the message of vigilance had been clearly written across the horizon.
Descending from Sørbøfjellet, the mountain landscape opens beneath a restless sky. A narrow trail of stone winds through the rough terrain, surrounded by scattered rocks, low vegetation and distant water, while enormous clouds seem to occupy almost as much of the world as the land itself.
Rendered in monochrome, colour gives way to shape, texture and light. The stones become brighter, the valleys deeper and the clouds heavier, reducing the landscape to shades of black, white and grey. It is a quiet reminder that in the mountains, simplicity can sometimes reveal more than colour.
Fun fact: Black-and-white landscape photography often makes atmospheric elements such as clouds, haze and changing light more prominent because the eye is no longer distracted by differences in colour.

This photo was taken early morning in the Lage Vuursche Forest on the way from Hilversum to Soestduinen. Lage Vuursche is a village in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of Baarn, and lies about 5 km west of Soest, in the middle of the forest. Drakestein, the former residence of Queen Beatrix, is situated just east of the village. An oasis of rest directly next to the big city life.

Middle East - Iran - Isfahan Province - Abyaneh - Abianeh - One of the oldest villages in Iran with ancient houses built from peculiar reddish hue mud
Photo of Karkas mountains taken from hill next to Abyaneh village. Karkas mountain chain or Karkas (Persian رشته كوه كركس Reshteh kuh-e Karkas) is located in Central Iran. It ranges from Kashan to Ardestan over more than 100 km and is mainly composed of igneous (plutonic and volcanic), pyroclastic and somewhat sedimentary Tertiary rocks. In the central part, this mountain chain consists of a Precambrian-Paleozoic basement. The highest peak of the Karkas Mountains is 3895m which is close to Natanz.

the narrow passage felt colder, the walls pale and lifeless, adorned only with the hum of air conditioners clinging to their corners. the late afternoon light slashed through the scene, casting long, deliberate shadows down the damp, uneven stairs. she ran up, focused, her steps quick and sure. her shadow, larger than life, raced ahead, mimicking her movement in a quiet duet with the walls. the puddles below reflected faint glimmers of the world above, while the textures of the city whispered stories of wear and resilience. there was no sound but her rhythm, no moment but this one—just light, shadow, and the climb.

Khongor Sand Dunes are the largest and most spectacular sand dunes in Mongolia. Also known as the ‘singing dunes’, they are up to 800 m high, 20 km wide and about 100 km long. Top of the dunes can be climbed and the views of the desert from the top are indescribable.
I was wondering around and enjoying the majestic views of dunes when my eyes spotted this beautiful play of shadow and light. It is slightly different desert photo than we are used to but I am very happy with the artistic results it creates, even I've originally went there for very typical sunrise desert photos.

It is being said that a picture is worth a thousand words and it is very true statement, however what if you put thousands of pictures together ? Here are two videos that I put together from several weeks in Iceland, those sleepless nights spent in freezing temperatures in unique Icelandic landscape were surely worth it.
Timelapse movies had become my new way of capturing my travels besides regular photography.

I had the incredible luck to experience once in a life time Northern lights show created by huge Solar storm which brought unseen colors ranging from the usual green, yellow to red, purple or even blue, to the sky all over Nordic countries and even all the way to the south of UK. Add several other lucky nights with smaller or large Aurora Borealis appearance in unique landscape of Iceland and the result is relatively lot of footage for my first ever time-lapse video.

This photo was taken in Beyal Camp which is a wonderful place surrounded with beautiful thick Pine forest, spellbinding views of Raikot Glacier and Nanga Parbat.
The mountain in the picture is Nanga parbat (also known as Nangaparbat Peak or Diamir) is the 9th highest mountain on Earth and the 2nd highest in Pakistan. Nanga Parbat has tremendous vertical relief over local terrain in all directions. To the south, Nanga Parbat boasts what is often referred to as the highest mountain face in the world: the Rupal Face rises an incredible 4,600 m (15,000 feet) above its base. To the north, the complex, somewhat more gently sloped Rakhiot Flank rises 7,000 m (22,966 feet) from the Indus River valley to the summit in just 27 km, one of the 10 greatest elevation gains in so short a distance on Earth. Nanga Parbat is the fastest growing mountain on Earth and it is still growing about 7mm a year (but dont ask me how they measure it!)
No digital manipulation was done here. The moon is where it really was.

in the silence of a deserted underground passage, a lone figure walks between harsh white walls and glowing veins of red light. the wet floor mirrors the tension above, as if the ground itself remembers each step. it feels like a fragment from a forgotten noir film, where the city breathes in blue and crimson.
