An album containing postcards mostly sent during the first two decades of the twentieth century, donated by Chris Mason.

Not quite sure exactly what this is but there were a large selection of documents and papers in one specific room. These documents ranged from loan booklets to instruction manuals, as well as military equipment specifications.

Here it is pulled out...I used an envelope and letter that was posted from Hong Kong in the 1950s. The airplane was printed on the inside of the envelope! The card in the middle is the back of Andrea Joseph's postcard.

A very comprehensive questionnaire that is through and includes all the relevant details, you might considering asking if there are any existing plans for the property as these help you with initial planning ideas before you do your site survey. (we have been given one, haven`t we?? I lost a point for that!! grrr) The document is well laid out and clearly divided into sub-sections.

You have demonstrated a clear understanding of the brief.

This is a very well designed questionnaire, you have though of your personal branding and the layout makes it easy to identify the various sections, you have used tick boxes for speed of answering and the colour coding makes the presentation very professional, you might consider printing on both sides to save paper.

This is the BEST bbq sauce for chicken that I have ever used. Over the years, at family summer gatherings, this was used when cooking chicken halves on the grill. Excellent!

Looking east along the backyard. River lily (Hesperantha coccinea) is the red on the right, "Oregon Sunset". Black is bugleweed, Ajuga reptans 'Black Scallop'. There are seedling carex, from toffee twist and something silver that I forget.

Holtan (kom.ing.) i Oslo ang. steinen.

This letter was sent from Dr. Giles P. Ransom (Roscoe, IL) to his brother Erasmus. It gives a personal account of a Lincoln - Douglas speeches given in Chicago on July 9-10, 1858.

. . . Eleven o’clock in some very humorous remarks.

We have had some excitement here ly[?] Judge R.S. Wilson attacking Long John and some of the city officers. I believe I told you something of it – Long John got a good chance and pitched into the Judge. You have the speaches of Dug. Lincoln & Trumbull in the Tribune

Lincoln & Trumbull’s speaches are published in pamphlet form, which would be good documents to circulate although Winnebago County will have no fears. Yet I think these speaches, and the speaches of Douglass and Carpenter would do good anywhere in showing people just how things stand. I have intended to have written you before and oten but I have been occupied variously Business is not very [?] yet, there has been some sickness for a few weeks past and I have formed better [?] since I am forming and extending acquaintances considerably. I should be glad to hear from you often. I have written this much about politics thing you would be interested in getting some items.

Yours very truly,

Giles---

Love to Harriet & all the family
