first roll with the LC-A 120!
I saw this guy loading up his bike and asked for a quick portrait.
The Grand Union Hotel in Vancouver, British Columbia. Looks like it would be a very interesting place to have a (cheap) beer or two.
A quiet bar and a few shots of good bourbon--a recipe for washing away those blues. At least until tomorrow.
Image imagined in MidJourney and finished with Topaz Studio and Lightroom Classic.
After nine rounds with Jose Cuervo
They were countin' me out and I was about to give in
Then after ten rounds with Jose Cuervo
I lost count and started countin' again!...

The Canyon Club in Williams, Arizona looks like it would be one fun place to get my drink on...
We hope everyone is enjoying the holidays but for some they are stressful and we immediately thought of places we could highlight where one can go and get away from things, and that is why we are posting Randy’s Hide-A-Way in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. We love its faded and peeling #handpainted signage and the #script “Randy’s” painted on each window. #Analog photo from 2006 appears in our book “Store Front: The Disappearing Face of New York”.

"The world that we used to know
People tell me it don't turn no more
The places we used to go
Familiar faces that ain't smilin' like before
The time of our time has come and gone
I fear we been waiting too long"
If you ever look at any list of "dive bars" in the Twin Cities, Otter's Saloon is always on it.
I never have found the clock in the place . . . there is so much stuff on walls primarily lit by neon beer signs. I look for a clock because there are no windows in Otter's. That's OK, the company is always ready to chat, you can always find a cribbage or card game, and plenty of flat panels to watch sports.
Beer is reasonable, and pours are generous. Bartenders are hospitable and attenttive. A couple of beers and a Hegge Pizza and one is ready to move on.
This day, I was prowling with my camera and so I took time to photograph it.
I also noticed that Minneapolis and St. Paul has more than it's share of this angular construction. More than I've seen in other cities. Must be a reason that would be interesting to research. I will leave that project if we are given another earthly lifetime to live.
Subway Inn on the Upper East Side was in business for more than 77 years before it was forced to close in December 2014 after it's lease was not renewed. One of its most famous customers was Marilyn Monroe , who filmed the "Seven Year Itch" nearby and stopped in for drinks. Arsemio Salinas, who has owned the #divebar since 2007, after working as a porter, bartender and manager for the original owner, luckily was able to relocate the #bar less than 2 blocks away at Second Avenue and 60th Street and re-installed the iconic #vintage #neonsign, the original wooden bar and stools and even the bar booths. Photo and full interview appears in our book "New York Nights". #subwayinn #neon #signgeeks #storefront #signcollective #myfeatureshoot #guardiancities #reportagespotlight #everything_signage #ig_signage #gas_food_lodging #ipulledoverforthis #igs_nyc #tv_retrotype #jj_texttypographical
