2 July 2017. Padding: Nyakong Kiir gives medicine to her daughter-in-law Nyanom Gay, 26 years old and mother of 4 children, after being infected with malaria in Padding, Jonglei, South Sudan, on July 2, 2017.
Fighting between Government and opposition forces last April pushed thousands of civilians to displace to Padding and Lankien, both still under opposition control. The massive displacement, that duplicated the population, brought an outbreak of cholera and a serious need of health assistance, drinking water and food distribution among the population, according to the local leaders.

Displacement maps are psd files with a texture. The light and dark values are used to modify text or images so that they appear to be embedded in the texture. The filter to modify the text is Distort>displace. The displacement map has to be the same size as the file being modified and it has to be a psd file (not jpg).

# 1 - Hang... yes, those are real trees hanging in the alley
It's amazing the power of brand recognition. Even after all these decades, it's still obvious what this car used to be. We've got one-up on future archaeologists, with our innate ability to identify corporate symbols and commercial advertising. It's ingrained in our brains, as deeply as this sunburnt shadow, cast in the logo leeside like the terrified outlines of Hiroshima silhouettes. Our ancestors used this strength to spot predatory eyes in the treetops, imminent threats and facial recognition. Now it's exploited for an emblem on a car hood, the little survival instinct that could, and we need it just as much. I can hardly read a cursive script, couldn't decipher the letters of my great-grandmother in her later years, but I know exactly what this trademark reads at the slightest glance. Any earthling can tell you too.
Bakitta was one of the thousands who fled conflict in Abyei in 2011. Bakitta is uncertain of when she will be able to return home from Juang Boma, and knows she must provide for the children she cares for while they remain. Having received food, a jerry can, cooking equipment and other items from Christian Aid partner ECS Sudra, Bakitta has volunteered to help distribute essential items to others who have been displaced.

On April 9, 2014, the Brookings-LSE Project on Internal Displacement in association with the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs looked at some of the challenges which disaster-induced displacement poses for policies and laws at the national and international levels. Following introductory remarks by Claude Wild, head of Human Security Division of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (Switzerland), a panel of experts including Chaloka Beyani, Walter Kälin, and Jane McAdam of the Brookings Institution explored various dimensions of disaster-induced displacement. Senior Fellow Elizabeth Ferris, co-director of the Brookings-LSE Project on Internal Displacement, moderated the discussion and offer closing remarks. ©Paul Morigi Photography

While traditional Power Houses produce considerable pollution; this simple model of a Municipal Vertical Water Displacement is one hundred percent clean and safe. It is good news endeed.
First Peoples’ Convening on Climate Forced Displacement; a conference in Girdwood, Alaska featuring activists and community leaders from five regions: Alaska, Bangladesh, Louisiana, the Pacific Islands, and Washington State; the convening had roughly 70 participants, approximately 60 of which were UUSC partners, the remainder being UUSC staff.

Iraq's Displacement Crisis and the International Response
The Iraq War has caused the largest population displacement in the Middle East since 1948. However, the dire situation has elicited neither a major international humanitarian response nor a policy debate over U.S. responsibility for the crisis. Sectarian fighting, political and criminal violence, lack of basic services, loss of livelihoods, spiraling inflation, and uncertainty about the future have pushed some 4 million Iraqis from their homes. Neighboring states, burdened by the influx of refugees and concerned for their own security, have imposed visa restrictions and effectively cut off entry. The Iraqis that have fled to neighboring countries face tremendous uncertainties, including the threat of deportation. Regional governments, coalition forces, and international organizations are grappling with the crisis while protecting against security vulnerabilities. The recent flow of Iraqis returning home may be a promising sign, but until security in Iraq improves and people can safely go back, critical attention must be paid to the remaining options: improved conditions inside Iraq, temporary placement in a host country, or resettlement in a third country.
The Center for American Progress and the Heinrich Boell Foundation hosted a conference addressing Iraq's displacement crisis, the international responses, and the prospects for improving the situation. The panelists offered their insights on the current challenge and examined the moral and security implications of the crisis, shared strategies, and identified programming and policy options.

Well, today was interesting. I'm still pretty pleased with how my life is looking, but I'm still trying to figure out who my friends are and what exactly I'm doing with my life. This picture was really taken in tiredness and annoyance. My back has been killing me, and I've slept more than half of my day. But I'm excited about the end result. I added a Gaussian blur and drop shadow.
I fell that it may be a little too busy but I'm not sure
