DIFFUSER FILTER : This filter reduces contrast and as such can be used for taking picture with variable soft effects. As the filters soften the skin-texture, the portraits of ladies can be made very charming. Effects strongest with 50-100 mm or bigger focal length lenses at larger apertures.

Flash test with diffuser -1 stop by Stephen_A_Crane

Test shots with Pentax K20D with and without a homemade flash diffuser (white plastic film canister), using the camera's flash at various flash intensity (-2 stops to +1 stop). I was three feet from subject. Colors much more accurate with diffuser. Underexposed, but correctable (shot in RAW).

Could not work out initially why the white rose I had taken with the flash turned out Yellow.

Waking up at 5.00 am and saw this diffuse rose light outside. Looks like a dream scene in star trek series, but is directly at head-smashed-in buffalo jump in Alberta
