So...because I'm a photoshop retard, I had no idea that you could use the history brush with the diffuse glow feature. I used the diffuse glow on this shot of my sister, but (of course) it made her eyes less sharp. I wanted to bring them back and I thought "hey, wouldn't that be great if the history brush tool worked after using diffuse glow". Well, guess what. It does. I'm a moron. Anyway, I thought it was kinda cool how I was able to make my sister look like she was wearing makeup because the original photo was kinda dark. Yeah, I'm easily amused.

Stuffed toys being so much more patient than live animals, my daughter's well-worn favorite, Bowa, agreed to a photo shoot on a black sheet of construction paper. In this sequence I'm playing with diffusing or bouncing the flash of my Sony P100.

Spent some time yesterday playing with white boards and off camera flash, a lot to learn still but I got some reasuable shots! Decided to boost contrats and make some harsh looking portaits!
This last prototype uses Carbon fiber strips like a dome tent, white ripstop nylon for the diffuser (and the inside surface), and black duck cloth. The connection is made with 12gauge aluminum armature wire
I made a diffuser out of a empty butter tub, some kitchen foil and a some white nylon for the front. It wasn't the best of days to try and get close ups of critters..it was fairly windy and the bugs just wouldn't stay still. I quite like the outcome though.

A photograph of smoke swirls from a blown-out tea candle. I'm rather proud of this, despite it being one of those hit-or-miss once-in-a-lifetime shots. Taken with the 18-55mm at 55mm on manual focus.
Managed a quick setup in my bathroom with some black cloth attached to the mirror, and a tea light. Used a 100-watt steel lamp for lighting.
I see some kind of human-like creature...thighs at the bottom, an arm to the right, the body and head...anyways, I think it looks cool. Haha. Anyone else see it?
