These photos were taken in 2 different townships in the Cape - Nyanga
and Khayelitsha. Earth Boxes were planted - an initiative to green
the gardens of children and provide food security initiatives. A day
of gardening, learning and fun. The box donated to particular
children were surrounded by local community children eager to get
their hands dirty and join in.
A truelly inspiring fantastic day!
Warm regards

@barryroubaix photos are uploaded to my Flickr site! There are 5 different albums, divided by the distance raced and location. The 18/36/62/100-mile album has photos from all race distances about 3 miles from the finish, although I did miss the first few groups of 36-mile finishers. Head to the link in my bio to check them out.

Every few years we get a new set of college kids for neighbors. The first year they live off campus they usually "gift" us with empty beverage containers. Later, as graduation nears, and a few late night visits from the local law enforcement, they calm down. Then they move out, and the cycle begins anew!
This taken using the Rebel XTi's ADEP mode - note that the area of sharp focus extends all the way from the beer can to the beer can owner's house!
