My dads old comics these are a bunch of different ones they go from Star Wars to Richie Rich and more.
1st, 2nd, 3rd,4th shots are 18mm shot with AF-S. The focus points are different.
5th shots are AF-S through liveview which is much better than the previous 4 shots. The last one is manual focus through liveview mode. Reason I use live view mode because it can zoom in the focus point so that I can adjust the focus more accurate.
I'm working on images that I had in this session that did not make the first cut for "classic" portraits. I felt that some of the images I cut, that are now a part of this project, are strong in a different sense. A lot of times (not all the time) people only like images where they can see the person's face, the person is smiling or where the cropping is pleasing to the eye. I wanted to show some images that go against that. I will post a blog post soon in the next week where you will see images of this little cutie where she is just being a child, wandering and not always smiling. She's happy I promise, I was searching for fairies with her. Thank you for reading and I can't wait to share with you!

You can see the White House and if you look closely you can see the two secret service agents on top of the building...
We stopped at a little rest stop along the U.S. highway we took back toward Madison and had a nice little picnic lunch of sandwiches we'd picked up from the Prairie du Chien Piggly-Wiggly. I'd stopped at this same rest stop during my lightning drive across Wisconsin last February and had taken a picture of this farm at the base of the hill. Remember this picture? This is what that spot looks like in its summer colors.
These two chicks look very different, but presumably were from the same litter? The one on the left is a mallard chick but the one on the right looks as much like a cygnet as anything! There were some domestic white ducks mixed in with the mallards on this pond, so I assume these are the result of a cross?
This is a different area of the Lake where the light was fading; it was sheltered; some water grasses; and a strange light was on the water giving interesting reflections. Next time (a couple of days) I will give you some very challenging reflections to unravel. Maybe you won't like these but I hope you do.

How would you describe your WSSU experience?
Amazingly interesting. From the people that Iâve met to the different experiences that Iâve had to the situations that Iâve been in and witnessed. But I wouldnât trade this experience for anything.
What were some of your favorite parts of your college experience?
Connecting with like minded individuals, meeting new types of people, gaining life long friends, and unforgettable experiences.
Have you engaged in internships, research projects, study abroad, student leadership, community outreach, or other experiences that are enhancing your time at WSSU?
I participated in research during my first two years and summers at WSSU and then I had an internship Nationwide during my third summer. I also experienced student leadership and community outreach through Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. as I was Chapter President for an organization known for its service.
Did you face any obstacles while pursuing your degree?
The biggest obstacle was definitely speaking to people. Iâve never been the most outgoing person, and Iâm still not, but I have come so far from when I first arrived at Winston.
What are your plans after graduation?
Iâm honestly still trying to decide this myself. Iâve had a lot of good opportunities present themselves to me but what Iâm leaning more towards right now is attending graduate school at A&T where Iâve been accepted into the Masters and PhD programs for Computer Science.
Are there any particular faculty, coaches, mentors, or staff that made a difference in your life?
Iâve had a lot who have definitely impacted me whether they know it or not. Of course my department chair, Dr. Elva Jones. The first professor I connected with and fraternity brother, Dr. Frederick Roundtree. My research mentor, Dr. Mustafa Atay. One of my favorite professors, someone I can always come talk to, and soror, Dr. Rebecca Caldwell. And of course, I could never forget the Honors Programâs heart and soul, Ms. Carolyn Thomas. Outside of WSSU, my mentor and fraternity brother, Mr. Reginald McCaskill. All of these people had an incredible impact on my life as well as some of my biggest decisions, opportunities, and accomplishments.
The Lady was continuously looking the timetable to avoid any mistake and catch the right bus.. the child was, of course, in a completely different world.. just staring us...
For many reasons, I like the above photos. Each speaks to me about different things I value. I like to think the soul resembles just such a montage of life events that color and depict the essence of our lives and character. Links noted below.

Looking out of the hotel window at Ibis London City is quite interesting to me. This view is definitely an improvement on the view from the room we stayed in previously, which looked onto a building site.
I like how I can see the world go by. I also like the different juxtapositions between the modern City of London and the more traditional inner London of the Borough of Tower Hamlets.
Met Paul for lunch today in the City. Prior to meeting him I took a wander down to the Petticoat Lane market - as the name suggests it is a clothes market. England World Cup clothes were in evidence and I spotted an "I Love London" hoodie - not quite the same design as I seem to have seen on every overseas teenage student - but a representative example all the same. I didn't buy. I like London, but can't say I love the place.
