You guys are probably bored to to tears with all those images of fall in the park.. I have only one excuse: it's all gone now... :(
Tried a few different eyes and wigs on her but I kind of like this best. I used to have a pukipuki Rose named Karin, but I think this girl is going to take that name now ^w^
In Swedish it's pronounced Kah-rin ~
I made this and the following photo of different pink camellias that were growing in my neighbor's back yard. Though it was mid January - winter in our city of San Francisco - these flowers still brightened up their portion of the yard. This was a shot from over 25 feet away taken with my Canon Powershot SX50.
Looking at Machu Picchu on the way back from the Inca Bridge. Huayna Picchu is clearly visible, along with the river valley behind it. If there's one thing I learned about the Incans, its that they were masters of choosing locations in which to build their settlements.

First of all they all are very slightly different. If you want to pick the one you like best and add a quick comment that would be appreciated. It is unusual that I made this many so similar, I usually don't.
The details are now on my blog. wp.me/p6NYTn-nA
Different radars for different purposes.
USS Orleck, a museum ship in Lake Charles, Louisiana. This Gearing class destroyer was commissioned in 1945, two weeks after WWII ended, saw service in Korea and Vietnam, and has been at this location as a museum ship since 2010. Served in the Turkish Navy as the Yücetepe (D 345) from 1982 to 2000. Visit of March 5, 2014.
Different day, different time/light, different glass.
Nikon D200 wearing a Sigma 10-20mm F/4-5.6 DC HSM EX lens. The EX series from Sigma is excellent and this 2:1 zoom lens is about as sharp as any primes I have.

Horse semen drink is not for neigh-sayersOwners of a pub in New Zealand are serving shots of apple-flavoured horse semen to customers.Steven Drummond, co-owner of The Green Man in Wellington, decided to enter the stomach-churning drink in the nationwide 14th annual Monteith's Beer and Wild Food Challenge. He came up with the idea from a nearby stallion farm, which harvests sperm.Steven says the custard-like concoction is more popular among women than men, but very few customers enjoy it enough to come back for seconds. And he advises patrons who are brave enough to try it to down the $25 shot in one quick gulp.New Zealand - July 2011Supplied by WENN.com

Day 110/365
One thing that I admire about humans are that we are so complex, so made up of a million different things while we all co-exist among others. We live in other people's minds, haunt some, taunt others, terrorize few, destroy a handful. The list could go on. We exist among our own lives but also in many other lives, in strangers we meet, people we have brief contact with, friends and family who will either be here forever or gone in a moment. It's so strange to think that we exist so much larger than we think and yet we contain so many flaws. So many things that keep us from this existing, that sometimes ends others existence. We have things that pile up in our mind like garage sale boxes in the attic of a childhood home. We allow this to stop us, or we allow it to destroy us and, because of this, we need to stop focusing on our flaws.
Personally I do it all the time. It is probably my biggest human flaw - focusing upon all of my flaws - and I often allow it to dictate what I do and who I am with. I shouldn't, but I do yet, thankfully, most recently, I have been discarding my flaws - the way I laugh too loud, my awkward comments, my looks, etc. - and I have been just living and falling in love with people because that's what life should be. We should fall in love with ourselves, with who we are, with others, and with the world we live in. It's just all centered around the fact of one thing - living and breathing is magnificent, even if I'm a tiny speck of dust suspended in a sunbeam compared to the vastness of the cosmic expanse of space. My life is still important and I am alive and I should take advantage of both.
Well, the angle that is. Anyways after finally getting time to try this shot, I managed to snag a southbound intermodal with CN 2220 in front as it took the curve and slight grade before hitting the bridge over Rollins Rd. Honestly, probably my new favorite shot in Round Lake.

just a bit of fun.
Strawberries are at their best in Summer!
The garden strawberry was first bred in Brittany, France, in the 1750s via a cross of Fragaria virginiana from eastern North America and Fragaria chiloensis, which was brought from Chile by Amédée-François Frézier in 1714.
Cultivars of Fragaria × ananassa have replaced, in commercial production, the woodland strawberry (Fragaria vesca), which was the first strawberry species cultivated in the early 17th century.
The strawberry is not, from a botanical point of view, a berry.
Technically, it is an aggregate accessory fruit, meaning that the fleshy part is derived not from the plant's ovaries but from the receptacle that holds the ovaries.
Each apparent "seed" (achene) on the outside of the fruit is actually one of the ovaries of the flower, with a seed inside it.
The entire strawberry plant was used to treat depressive illnesses.
In 2017, world production of strawberries was 9.2 million tonnes, led by China with 40% of the total.
The chilli is the fruit of the Capsicum.
