OK, so Lins, Lachlan, Nic and I were at Pub Trivia a week or so ago at the North Annandale.
Nic wins us a couple of mini boxes of smarties, one of which has a portrait of Lindsay on the back, a bit like those Missing Children ads you see on milk cartons in the States.
I said,"Lins, this looks like you".
He says, "No it doesn't".
I say, "It does, can you scan it and send it to me...?"
He says, "Mmmmm, Mmmaybe".
So he set a physical challenge, that if I could get his IM and send it to him as proof by 9am the dext day, he would scan this in.
An old abbey in Bristol, I didn't make a note of the name of the place.
There are six differences between the photos (not including brightness, contrast) the obvious one is the sky, the question is which one is the original image?
not between me and him, of course - he's too great! - but between the 2 pictures, shot in a half a second temporal distance.
btw he looks so happy for having met me after such a long time =)
Check it on Black! After a 7 week journey I'm back. Hopefully I can share some beautiful places with my Flickr pals...

If it wasn't obvious enough already, I did not do much reading on Pokemon B & W before it got released.
I decided to restart the game, since I was torn on what pokemon to get into my team and I already went through most of the game so I had no trainers to fight and nothing to do =/.
Ah well, I made my mind up and got my new team ready now, but this time I'm playing as a Female character.
But as for the for interface..everything was pink..and hearts everywhere, why hearts! gah XD
The Pink DS is my sister's and is running Pokemon White with a male character. The Black DSi is running Pokemon Black with a Female Character.
‘Run faster, I must run faster’ I looked behind me to make sure he wasn’t catching up. I knew if he caught me that meant I would be in some serious trouble.
All of a sudden he jumped off of a tree branch I didn’t see him hiding on, and landed on top of me. “Omf! Ow! Dude, you couldn’t be a little more gentle than that?” I looked into the laughing eyes of my twin brother Dale.
He smirked and said “Can you toughen up?” then he gave me one of his world famous smiles.
At that moment we heard my father yell for us to come back. Dale got off me, okay, so I might have shoved him off, and we headed towards our one-story, shabby, log-cabin.
As we walked back, I thought about my brother and my father.
You could tell, from the moment you looked at us, we were twins. We both had brown hair, that was often messy, brown eyes that twinkle when we laugh, slim bodies from years of running around in woods, and a dash of freckles across ours noses. We’re both 16. One of the only differences was that I’m a girl.
My father, who tells us we took after our mother, has dirty blonde hair, bright blues eyes that shine with love, a slim body from chasing us around all these years, and muscular arms from chopping fire wood.
If you’re wondering, my mother is dead. She died when we were 3 years old. I don’t remember her, But my father tells me that she was just like me.
By this point we were on the porch of our cabin and walking in the door. My father was sitting on his overstuffed recliner, he calls his throne. He motioned for us to sit down.
He looked at us. His usually laughing eyes now shone with something I couldn’t identify. “I’ve been meaning to talk to you about this for some time now.”
Me and Dale instantly know to be serious. Whatever he’s about to say is extremely important. We look at each other quickly, and then look at dad.
“Remember that time when Jay” BTW, that’s my name, “snapped her fingers, and a loud pop, and flash of light appeared in front of her?” We nodded. “I had told you it was a light bulb, having a power surge, but really Jay created that flash and pop.”
“What are you saying dad?” Dale spoke quickly. “I’m saying that you two, are a certain type of people called Type One.’
‘That means, that you can move the energy, molecules, power, and atoms in the air to do what you want. In the case with Jay, for some unknown reason when she snapped, she forced a bunch of atoms and molecules together creating the flash and pop.”
We sat there in silence. Me and Dale contemplating what we were just told, and my dad was letting it sink in.
“Listen, when you were younger, I took you to lab to find out what it was. They ran tests, and found this out. But while doing that, they were secretly planning on making weapons, out of Type One people. I took you away instantly.’
‘While we were there, I had made a friend. That friend of mine recently told me, that those people have found our location somehow, and are sending something or someone after you two. Whatever it is, it’s on it’s way.’
‘I’m going to send you to your uncle's place. I have your stuff packed and ready to go. I’ll meet you there in a couple of weeks. There’s a map in both of your bags in case you get separated.”
We might have been shocked but now we were stunned, absolutely stunned.
“So, we just leave? I mean, we don’t even know this “Uncle” of ours, or if whatever's coming after will find us there or not!” I spoke with my voice raising with each word.
Dad looked at me in a way, that for some reason calmed me down a tiny bit. “He was your mother’s brother, and he lives in a big warehouse, that he made into a home for kids without homes.”
Dale gave a quiet sigh, and stood up. “You said the maps were in our bags?” Dad nodded, and stood up with him, “It should be a three day journey. I called ahead, he knows your coming and what you look like.”
I finally stood up, and said “If it’s for the best, I’ll go. But I can’t say I won’t miss you a lot.” Dad smiled, walked over and hugged me, and whispered gently in my ear, “I wouldn’t want it any other way.”
Dale and I went to our room, grabbed our bags, and set off.
As we walked, we made small talk. After a while we started to talk about our journey. “I think we should only rest at night and when we absolutely have to.” Dale voiced his thoughts. I didn’t really care, but to be polite, I acted like I did.
“What do you think he’ll be like?” I interrupted him. “I don’t know. Why in the world would I know? I do know one thing though, we’re in this together.” he spoke this so firmly, I felt like I was being scolded.
We finally, after about an hour or two of walking, stopped and made camp.
The next day, we started out again, stopping only twice for lunch and a bathroom break. We made camp again that night. Now, we were going on day 3 of our journey.
Around ten in the morning it started to rain very hard, but we still pressed on.
It had gotten dark because of the clouds. Because of this we didn’t see it until Dale started to slip over the edge.
It was a cliff! He grabbed onto a rock sticking out on the edge. I ran over and grabbed his arm.
“Grab my arm!” I practically screamed over the wind. “Jay, I can’t! If I let go with this hand the other will slip off the rock!” he shouted back. “Just do it! It might be your only chance!” He couldn’t fall, he just couldn’t.
“Okay, on three! One… Two… Three!” He reached up. Then the unthinkable happened, he slipped, and fell into the rushing river below. For the next ten minutes I sat there on my knees screaming his name. He was gone.
I fell asleep on the edge of the cliff. The next day I decided to continue on, it’s what Dale would have done. I got up and walked the rest of the way to the warehouse.
There Uncle Tim, his wife Carey, and his daughter (Adopted) Ming, were waiting for me.
There is a marked difference in the autumn colours this year and last.
We drove all the way up to Santon in the hope of capturing the autumn colours that in former years were there to delight and to be photographed.
This year change had started as you can see but I think it must be due to the exceptional temperatures the autumn has not yet got underway and with storms forecast for tomorrow we fear that many of the leaves will be dislodged hence our trip and these results.

Wow, I definitely like the Halsam American Log house better than the Lincoln Log house. The pitch of the American Log house looks much more realistic and more log cabiny. Which one do you think looks better?
