Das Museumsdorf Düppel zeigt ein mittelalterliches Dorf inmitten von landwirtschaftlichen Nutzflächen und umgebender Landschaft, wie es vor rund 800 Jahren tatsächlich ausgesehen haben könnte. Auf einer Fläche von etwa 8 Hektar wurde versucht, die Bebauung anhand archäologischer Funde sowie einfache Handwerke und Landwirtschaft nach zeitgenössischen Quellen zu rekonstruieren.
Wegen Beseitigung von Hochwasserschäden im Elbtal war die elektrische Hauptstrecke gesperrt und man fuhr mit Dieselvorspann Umleitung. Der Euro City kam mit 120 Minuten verspätet an und die verwendeten 749 253 und 254 bildeten mit der Mehrsystemlok 371 001 in Prager Hauptbahnhof einen Lokzug, um gemeinsam ins BW abzurücken.

Das ist die alte Kaffeebörse in Hamburg.
Schön, wenn man auf Grund der HS Aufgabe ein wenig recherchiert was man denn so ablichten könnte und dann herausfindet, dass direkt neben der eigenen Wohnung früher Kaffee gehandelt wurde.
Dies ist die zweite Version des Bilds, mit Schiff, dafür nur aus einem RAW und kein HDR Stacking wie das Vorgängerbild (www.flickr.com/photos/30261803@N03/33689608818/in/datepos...).
Interessant ist was Affinity Photo beim HDR Stacking mit dem Licht des Schiffs gemacht hat (siehe: twitter.com/_holger/status/1115694282332098561).
Finally got to try out second curtain flash....Phew, it took a while to get everything right but I learned something today. This is actually only 2 die. The other were the motion captured by the flash.

On my first day off after some night shifts, I took my camera and went out to take some pictures. I had bought a book with portraits by Steve McCurry a few days before and was still under the impression of his marvelous colour portraits, so I wanted to give it a try and take pictures of strangers in the streets.
I ended up taking pictures of my usual subjects instead: Backyards and random finds and the occasional street art installation.

...im neuen Jahr. Sonderlich viel Zeit, diese zu genißen, war mit nicht gegönnt, aber für ein Foto hat es gereicht. Vielleicht kommt das nächste Sonnenbild im Schnee?!

The Dying Gaul, also called The Dying Galatian (Italian: Galata Morente) or The Dying Gladiator, is an ancient Roman marble semi-recumbent statue now in the Capitoline Museums in Rome. It is a copy of a now lost Greek sculpture from the Hellenistic period (323-31 BC) thought to have been made in bronze. The original may have been commissioned at some time between 230 and 220 BC by Attalus I of Pergamon to celebrate his victory over the Galatians, the Celtic or Gaulish people of parts of Anatolia.

The Capitoline Museums complex (Musei Capitolini) in Rome has one of the finest collections of sculptures, statues, and archaeological finds from antiquity in the world, in addition to paintings and art from the Middle Ages to the Baroque. Top highlights are very rare large Roman bronze sculptures such as the original equestrian statue of Marcus Aurelius, Boy with a Thorn, and the Capitoline She-Wolf (and the much more recent Romulus and Remus). The paintings collection includes works by Caravaggio, Titian, Rubens, Van Dyck, and many other European masters. Although the museum is rarely overcrowded, buying tickets online saves time.

I was able to enjoy him for almost 4 years, but yesterday I had to put him to sleep.
Since November '24 he was palliative with severe lung problems, pulmonary fibrosis and shrivelled bronchial tubes. This meant he could not breathe properly and often felt short of breath.
For his comfort he was given the maximum dose of medication but despite that his lungs filled with water this weekend, he had to cough a lot and was very short of breath. So sad to see him fighting for a little air. There was nothing more they could do for him except more and other pills and injections (just to prolong his life, but what a life !), so I decided to let him go.
I am very sad and what an emptiness such a small dog leaves behind !
Bijna 4 jaar mocht ik van 'm genieten maar gisteren moest ik hem laten inslapen.
Sinds november '24 was hij palliatief: zware longproblemen, longfibrose en verschrompelde luchtpijptakken. Daardoor kon hij niet goed ademen en had hij het dikwijls benauwd.
Voor z'n comfort kreeg hij de maximale dosis medicatie maar ondanks dat schoten zijn longen dit weekend vol water, hij moest veel hoesten en had het benauwd. Zo zielig om hem te zien vechten voor een beetje lucht. Ze konden niets meer voor hem doen alleen nog meer en andere pillen en spuitjes (alleen om z'n leven te verlengen, maar wat voor een leven), dus besliste ik om hem te laten gaan.
Ik ben heel erg verdrietig en wat een leegte laat zo'n klein hondje achter !
