The "Town Musicians of Bremen" (German: Die Bremer Stadtmusikanten) is a fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm. Despite the title of the fairy tale, the characters never actually arrive in Bremen.
In the story a donkey, a dog, a cat, and a rooster (or hen), all past their prime years in life and usefulness on their respective farms, were soon to be discarded or mistreated by their masters. One by one they leave their homes and set out together. They decide to go to Bremen, known for its freedom, to live without owners and become musicians there. ("Something better than death we can find anywhere.")
On the way to Bremen, they see a lighted cottage; they look inside and see four robbers enjoying their ill-gotten gains. Standing on each other's backs, they decide to scare the robbers away by making a din; the men run for their lives, not knowing what the strange sound is. The animals take possession of the house, eat a good meal, and settle in for the evening.
Later that night, the robbers return and send one of their members in to investigate. He sees the Cat's eyes shining in the darkness and the robber thinks he is seeing the coals of the fire. He reaches over to light his candle. Things happen in quick succession; the Cat scratches his face with her claws, the Dog bites him on the leg, the Donkey kicks him with his hooves, and the Rooster crows and chases him out the door, screaming. He tells his companions that he was beset by a horrible witch who scratched him with her long fingernails (the Cat), an ogre with a knife (the Dog), a giant who had hit him with his club (the Donkey), and worst of all, the judge who screamed from the rooftop (the Rooster). The robbers abandon the cottage to the strange creatures who have taken it, where the animals live happily for the rest of their days.

Villa Méditerranée is an exhibition building in Marseille, located next to the Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilizations on the left.
It presents a detailed replica of the Henri Cosquer Cave from the nearby Calanques National Park, with cave paintings up to 33,000 years old.

This rose belongs to the family of Grasse and Damascus rose that Dior uses for their perfumes :). Yes, this rose has an amazing fragrance :) and it freely grows in our garden. This rose is quite huge! Just a D3X jpeg.

The renatured floodplains of the river Lippe
Die Lippe auf ihren letzten Metern bis zur Mündung in den Rhein. Ihre Auen waren jahrzehntelang Kuhweiden. Vor einigen Jahren hat man begonnen, den Fluss und sein Umfeld zu renaturieren. Nun wachsen hier wieder Büsche und Bäume und Wildtiere gehen hier um. Was allerdings nicht verhindern kann, dass ein Viertel der Auenlandschaft, nur hundert Meter von hier entfernt, zur Baustelle für eine Schnellstraße wurde.
The last meters of the Lippe river to its confluence with the Rhine. Its meadows were cow pastures for decades. A few years ago work began to restore the river and its surroundings. Now bushes and trees and wild animals are growing here again. However, this cannot prevent a quarter of the floodplain landscape, only a hundred meters away, from becoming a construction site for an expressway.

the morning after we only noticed what beautiful place we did arrive last late evening in the dusk .. this lovely and well kept farm house is a real paradise at the end of the world - or rather in the mid of nothing in the center of South Africa. We would have loved to stay longer but we had a very tight schedule for our long distance travel.

Weißes Damwild, aufgenommen im Wildpark Klaushof bei Bad Kissingen. Die Hirsche sind tatsächlich weiß, zumindest sehr hell.
Berlin Tegel (Reinickendorf)
Die direkt an der Mündung des Fließes gelegene Mühle wurde erstmalig 1361 urkundlich erwähnt. Die Tegeler Mühle war bis 1810 eine der größten der elf Wassermühlen des Niederbarnim. Sie wurde 1848 zur Dampfmühle umgebaut und erhielt 1851 mit der Vertiefung des Fließes eine schiffbare Verbindung zum Tegeler See. Die Gebäude der Mühlenanlage sind Zeugnis von fast einem Jahrhundert Berliner Bau- und Mühlengeschichte und stehen heute unter Denkmalschutz.
Der Umbau für eine zeitgemäße Nutzung, unter Bewahrung der historischen Bausubstanz, wurde in den Jahren 1989-92 erfolgreich realisiert. Das Mühlengebäude (1912/13), der Getreidesilo (1939/40) und das Beamtenwohnhaus (1848) wurden restauriert, auf eindrucksvolle Weise mit neuer Architektur ergänzt. Seit Februar 2009 hat auf dem Gelände am Tegeler-Fließ der Medical Park Berlin Humboldtmühle seine Tore geöffnet.
