Hier eine Schneeflocke in der Detailaufnahme.
Ich habe ein Tuch in ein Baum gehängt und gewartet bis eine Schneeflocke auf das Tuch gefallen ist. Dann die Flocke so zurecht gepustet bis sie für meinem Geschmack gut lag und dann mit ISO 500, Blende 2,8, 1/160 Belichtungszeit das Bild geschossen.
Verwendet habe ich das Sigma 105mm 2.8 Objektiv und noch ein wenig gecroppt. Ansonsten noch Feinschliff in Lightroom und Photoshop.
This rose belongs to the family of Grasse and Damascus rose that Dior uses for their perfumes :). Yes, this rose has an amazing fragrance :) and it freely grows in our garden. This rose is quite huge! Just a D3X jpeg.

In diesem Jahr hatte ich viele Tulpen.Im Herbst habe ich mir eine Überraschungstüte mit Tulpenzwiebeln gekauft. Hoffentlich kommen sie im nächsten Jahr wiede.r

The Niboids were sons and daughters of Amphion of Thebes and his wife Niobe. The children were killed by Apollo and Artemis after the mother had bragged that she had many more children than Leto (the mother of Apollo and Artemis) - exactly how many children she had differs between the sources.
This sculpture is a Greek original from about 440 B.C. In Rome it had ended up in the Gardens of Sallust (Horti Sallustiani), named after its developer, the historian Sallust (Gaius Sallustius Crispus) after the death of Julius Caesar. Later the gardens were given to emperor Tiberius and for several centuries was open to the public as a park. This statue was discovered, in situ, 1906.

The "Town Musicians of Bremen" (German: Die Bremer Stadtmusikanten) is a fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm. Despite the title of the fairy tale, the characters never actually arrive in Bremen.
In the story a donkey, a dog, a cat, and a rooster (or hen), all past their prime years in life and usefulness on their respective farms, were soon to be discarded or mistreated by their masters. One by one they leave their homes and set out together. They decide to go to Bremen, known for its freedom, to live without owners and become musicians there. ("Something better than death we can find anywhere.")
On the way to Bremen, they see a lighted cottage; they look inside and see four robbers enjoying their ill-gotten gains. Standing on each other's backs, they decide to scare the robbers away by making a din; the men run for their lives, not knowing what the strange sound is. The animals take possession of the house, eat a good meal, and settle in for the evening.
Later that night, the robbers return and send one of their members in to investigate. He sees the Cat's eyes shining in the darkness and the robber thinks he is seeing the coals of the fire. He reaches over to light his candle. Things happen in quick succession; the Cat scratches his face with her claws, the Dog bites him on the leg, the Donkey kicks him with his hooves, and the Rooster crows and chases him out the door, screaming. He tells his companions that he was beset by a horrible witch who scratched him with her long fingernails (the Cat), an ogre with a knife (the Dog), a giant who had hit him with his club (the Donkey), and worst of all, the judge who screamed from the rooftop (the Rooster). The robbers abandon the cottage to the strange creatures who have taken it, where the animals live happily for the rest of their days.

Villa Méditerranée is an exhibition building in Marseille, located next to the Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilizations on the left.
It presents a detailed replica of the Henri Cosquer Cave from the nearby Calanques National Park, with cave paintings up to 33,000 years old.

Am 3. November 2024 fand die groß angekündigte "Wiedereröffnung" der Aartalbahn mit 3 Sonderfahrten der Nassauischen Touristik-Bahn statt. Wer jetzt aber denkt, dass diese von Wiesbaden aus wie früher bis Hohenstein oder zumindest nach Bad Schwalbach oder Taunusstein gingen, irrt sich. Tatsächlich gingen die Fahrten vom Wiesbadener HBF aus nur bis zur Kelterei Henkell. Da der Abschnitt vom HBF dort hin direkt nicht befahrbar ist, musste über den südlichen Streckenast zwischen Henkell und Wiesbaden Ost gefahren werden. Diese Strecke ist bereits seit 2007, also seit 17 Jahren, reaktiviert. Was eine krasse Wiedereröffnung.
Kopf gemacht wurde auf dem Hinweg zu Henkell in Rüsselsheim Opelwerk und auf dem Rückweg auf einem der Abstellgleise des Bahnhofs Wiesbaden Ost. Um das umsetzten der Dampflok zu vermeiden fuhr am anderen Zugende (welches immer gen Süden zeigte) eine BR 218 mit. Für die Hin- und Rückfahrt zwischen zweit Orten innerhalb Wiesbadens, welche mit dem Bus keine 10 Minuten auseinander liegen, verlangte die NTB 40€ pP. 55€ für die erste Fahrt des Tages. Gut, darin war ein Sektempfang bei Henkell inbegriffen, aber ich blieb dabei, mir diese Fahrten nur von außen anzuschauen.
The renatured floodplains of the river Lippe
Die Lippe auf ihren letzten Metern bis zur Mündung in den Rhein. Ihre Auen waren jahrzehntelang Kuhweiden. Vor einigen Jahren hat man begonnen, den Fluss und sein Umfeld zu renaturieren. Nun wachsen hier wieder Büsche und Bäume und Wildtiere gehen hier um. Was allerdings nicht verhindern kann, dass ein Viertel der Auenlandschaft, nur hundert Meter von hier entfernt, zur Baustelle für eine Schnellstraße wurde.
The last meters of the Lippe river to its confluence with the Rhine. Its meadows were cow pastures for decades. A few years ago work began to restore the river and its surroundings. Now bushes and trees and wild animals are growing here again. However, this cannot prevent a quarter of the floodplain landscape, only a hundred meters away, from becoming a construction site for an expressway.

the morning after we only noticed what beautiful place we did arrive last late evening in the dusk .. this lovely and well kept farm house is a real paradise at the end of the world - or rather in the mid of nothing in the center of South Africa. We would have loved to stay longer but we had a very tight schedule for our long distance travel.
