A package of Ilford ID-11 film developer, at least 30 years old. I recently found it in my drawers. It is a package for 600 ml stock solution.

I didn't use ID-11 much. I used it mainly with Pan-F and FP-4 films.

The package is good for use, I hope!

I did the wine developer experiment again. Further research revealed that while both coffee and wine are food sources of caffeic acid, the likely developing agent in both these substances, wine contains substantially less than coffee. I considered this may be why the wine developed negatives are so much thinner than the coffee ones. For this latest experiment, I did a two-thirds reduction of the wine to make the developer. I started with 48 oz wine and reduced it down to 16 oz. I also reduced the washing soda and eliminated the vitamin C. Developing time was 40 minutes.

These negatives are a little denser than my first wine roll. More on that later. Most significantly, though, there is a deep burgundy stain on the film. I experimented with this negative with the settings on my Epson scanner to see if the hue would show up.

For all three scans the setting was 24 bit color. The first image is scanned as B&W negative film. The second is scanned as color negative film. The third was scanned as positive film and then inverted in Photoshop. None of them give you an appreciation of the lovely burgundy, so you will just have to imagine.
