If there's a film that you have grain trouble with, developing it in a sharp developer may not be the best idea. But Rodinal and Pancro 400 pushed turned out well. I was not, however, about to try that with Superpan 200, rather I used the Stand Developing technique, and you know what, it worked magic!

On December 8th, 2012 P4K and EPN launched the Farmers of the Future program officially in Gueriguinde. Both the Minister of Education and the Minister of Livestock participated in front of a huge crowd of 400! This program is being piloted in three schools in Libore, with the goal of changing the mindset of children about agriculture -- teaching them that it is a business not merely a way to subsist.

developed in Caffenol-C-M 15 min @ 20°C. First fixed 3 days with NaCl with water, then Tetenal Superfix Plus.

I thought the fixing was too bad due to the right-most histogram. After fixing with Tetenal only a little difference can be seen (little bit finer grain, other color).

I can't believe it actually worked. I didn't measure time, temperature or ingredients particularly well.

Developed with caffenol

Approximately 500ml water

Approximately 27g washing soda

Approximately 8g of vitamin C powder

Approximately 20g instant coffee

100ml of Ilford Rapid Fixer + 400ml water

Water warm from the hot tap to help dissolve the ingredients, left for approximately 10 minutes to cool.

Develop - Approximately 15 minutes, 5 or 6 inversions in the first minute, and then occasional inversions at random intervals after that.

Stop - 5 or 6 changes of cold tap water, then left in cold tap water for approximately 5 minutes. Then 2 or 3 changes of cold tap water. [Actually while the film was left in the cold water I had a cup of tea.]

Fix – 3 or 4 minutes, 5 or 6 inversions in the first minute, then occasional inversions after that.

Wash – Approximately 10 changes of cold tap water, then after removing the tank lid running cold tap water for approximately 2 minutes.

Kodak 2238 shot at ISO 100 and developed in H&W Control 1:15. Underexposed and overdeveloped this is the first experiment. H&W Control was invented by Harold Holden and Arnold Weichert and “perfected” to work with Agfa Copex Pan Rapid microfilm which was rebranded by H&W as a house film to work with Control developer. The purpose of the creation was to use the high contrast film for aerial reconnaissance who H&W contracted with. Here I’m trying to see how high we could reasonable run 2238 as a standard film for snapshots etc.

H&W Control’s patent states it’s normal initial use should be 1:15 dilution at 68 degrees F for 12 minutes and then expand from there. This roll was shot at ISO 100 then split. I developed the first half of the roll at 68 degrees for 13 Minutes and the second half for 14 minutes. Standard agitation is constant for the first 2 minutes and then 6 seconds every minute thereafter. Stop/washed in tap water at 68 degrees and fixed in Ilford Hypam 1:4 for 3 minutes (H&W suggests 2 minutes).

These were shot on the same 2 days, overcast with little direct sunlight. The shots are obviously underexposed. But some of them are pretty adequate with some post process. There is a tendency for the picture to go dark and appear as evening or even well lit night. However it is easy to brighten the scene.

After some thought I think the goal will be to get clear ISO 80 pictures on 2238. I will next extend the developing time in order to clear up some of the blocked parts. I may try some sodium thiocyanate something around 1 g/Liter of stock so 0.06 gram in the working solution.

The Batela is a traditional Italian boat, developed in the Italian city of Venice. It is a flat-bottomed boat with a slight degree of rocker (meaning, the bottom is curved from bow to stern) to make it easier to row and control. Rowed standing up, it is essentially a cargo carrier or passenger ferry.

The Traditional Small Craft class of 2014 under the direction of Master Instructor Jeff Hammond is building the boat.

The batela is approximately 30 feet long, and will be built largely of western red cedar planking over sawn sapele frames.

This is an extremely interesting commission in that the boat was developed using design input provided by the owner in the form of sketches and commentary accompanied by video of Venetian batelae. Jeff drew the boat using that data, and refined it based on additional commentary and guidance to meet the owner's direction.

The Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding is located in Port Hadlock WA and is an accredited, non-profit vocational school. You can find us on the web at www.nwboatschool.org .

Our mission is to teach and preserve the fine art of wooden boatbuilding and traditional maritime crafts.

We build both commissioned and speculative boats while teaching adult students the traditional wood and wood composite boatbuilding skills they will need to work in the marine trades. We sell our boats to help support the School. Please feel free to give us a call should you like to discuss our building a boat for you.

By 1940 the Mark V Spitfire had been developed around a Mark II airframe, strengthened to receive the latest Rolls-Royce Merlin 45 and 46 engines, and went on to be produced in greater numbers than any other variant of this legendary aeroplane.

The Mark V and its derivatives were designed to improve the flying characteristics of the Mark II. Some were designed for ground attack with bombs, machine guns and cannon, and some with all cannon armament. All these variants capitalised on the Spitfire`s excellent manoeuvrability.

In 1941 the Mark V began operations with the RAF to become the mainstay of Fighter Command`s offensive operations across occupied Europe. The first `tropicalised` variants of the Mark VC were shipped to the Mediterranean. In March 1942 they flew from the aircraft carrier HMS Eagle and landed on the besieged island of Malta. Other squadrons were deployed in North Africa, India and Australia where they were operated by the Royal Australian Air Force in the Pacific East Indies.

A number of squadrons were used by the United States Army Air Force and other Mark Vs were shipped to Russia and flown by pilots of the Soviet Union. Yet more were supplied to Portugal and to the Royal Egyptian Air Force.

THE COLLECTION’S EXHIBIT

This aircraft was built by Westland Aircraft at Yeovil as a Mark VC and issued in 1942 to No 310 (Czech) Squadron based at Duxford. It undertook escort duties to USAAF bombers, including the famous ‘Memphis Belle’, of the 91st Bombardment Group during 1942-43. In post war years it was used as an instructional airframe at Loughborough College and was acquired by the Shuttleworth Collection in 1961, together with the Collection’s Sea Hurricane, in exchange for a Jet Provost.

The aircraft was returned to flight for the Battle of Britain film. A major overhaul was carried out in the early 1970s. The aircraft was airworthy from 1977-2005, then removed from service for overhaul.

The aircraft was displayed for many years in the clipped wing configuration which further improved manoeuvrability at low levels, bearing the livery of No.310 (Czech) Squadron while on operations in 1942-43. In mid 2000 the elliptical wingtips were refitted when the aircraft took part in the filming of Pearl Harbor, in which it played a fictitious member of an Eagle Squadron.

In 2005 the Spitfire was due for a major overhaul but, as the previous significantly major overhaul had been as far back as 1975, after careful inspection the decision was made to undertake a complete strip down and rebuild to original specification. In fact areas of the structure still showed evidence of wartime repairs.

Canonet QL17, Ilford HP5 Plus, self developed at カメラのアマノ. These are the store scans, which are low resolution. I do not know what I am gonna get out of this roll when I scan it at hope, as I am used to working with chromogenic XP2 Super.

Im using about 10g NaOH/l at room temperature.

Quirks:

- DONT use this Rösle Metal tweezers that i love to cook with. It has sharp ripples, while this is perfect for picking somethin in a hot pan it scratches the Photofilm wich leads to broken traces while etching....

- only develop until no more of this brown sludge comes off the PCB else you will erase everything

- throw the PCB in a huge can with water to immediately stop developing

Warwick Castle (Listeni/ˈwɒrɪk/ worr-ik) is a medieval castle developed from an original built by William the Conqueror in 1068. Warwick is the county town of Warwickshire, England, situated on a bend of the River Avon. The original wooden motte-and-bailey castle was rebuilt in stone in the 12th century. During the Hundred Years War, the facade opposite the town was refortified, resulting in one of the most recognisable examples of 14th century military architecture. It was used as a stronghold until the early 17th century, when it was granted to Sir Fulke Greville by James I in 1604. Greville converted it to a country house and it was owned by the Greville family, who became earls of Warwick in 1759, until 1978 when it was bought by the Tussauds Group.

Warwick castle is situated in the town of Warwick, on a sandstone bluff at a bend of the River Avon. The river, which runs below the castle on the east side, has eroded the rock the castle stands on, forming a cliff. The river and cliff form natural defences. When construction began in 1068, four houses belonging to the Abbot of Coventry were demolished to provide room. The castle's position made it strategically important in safeguarding the Midlands against rebellion.[1] During the 12th century, King Henry I was suspicious of Roger de Beaumont, 2nd Earl of Warwick. To counter the earl's influence, Henry bestowed Geoffrey de Clinton with a position of power rivalling that of the earl.[2] The lands he was given included Kenilworth – a castle of comparable size, cost, and importance,[3] founded by Clinton[4] – which is about 8 kilometres (5 mi) to the north.
