Made from 3mm sheet steel, fake metal mesh (plastic), elastic band and some other stuff.

A bit more about the project.

Evolution of an OO9 2-8-2T designed for a Bachmann N gauge chassis, based on the 4-6-2 tanks built for the Londonderry & Lough Swilly Railway by Hudswell Clarke.

The first attempt uses the length of the original loco and positions of the trucks and cylinders but this required a lot of horizontal compression. The second go was more to scale with the original but something doesn't seem quite right with the balance of it. Once I had scanned and compared both drawings I altered the second in Photoshop to give a slightly shorter but better proportioned loco which is the one I will build!

I blogged about it here.

I feel like Flickr has become my in progress depot. I swear there should/will/are more FINISHED things coming soon. In the meantime though I'm playing with a design for Threadless. Here it be. Still have a lot of patterns to draw and things to color in, but you can kind of see where the body is I think. This sucker is big, I figure he'd ride low on the belly?

Are these colors working? Should I color the lines of the pompadourmane? Who knows. I am not 100% sold yet. That's what I get for deciding on lavender for a challenge!

There will also be scuffle clouds in the background I think, in white and the two purples. Possibly w/halftones if I figure those out.

All sizes, all sizes.

Orchesis Dance Company's spring production, "heads will roll" poster design.

The theme is based on the song "heads will roll" by the yeah yeah yeahs and the song is a story about the battle between the queen of hearts and queen of spades (hence the crown, and heart & spade shapes).

The whole design is designed to look like the back of a playing card.

Please support buy buying a ticket and attend the show. It's bound to be filled with lots of great performance by the Orchesis Dance Company!

Entre el cielo y tierra sólo existe el horizonte.

It was meant to be a pattern of 4 zebras. I batiked the zebras and dyed the cloth a warm madder dye. Then I hesitated. I decided it would be easier to block print the stripes and hair on. Unfortunately, the hair on the end of the tail didn't fall where it should on every one. Therefore, the look like they are relieving themselves. I can't send this one in.
