The snows of January gave way to more of the same in February. The icing on the cake, so to speak, came in the form of freezing rain last week. No downed power lines, but we lost a few fairly large pine branches. Fun to fire up the chain saw when things dry out.

My sister was kind enough to jump on a posestand and pose while she is always so super busy, just so i could practice. Thank you sis.
“In my travels I have found that those who keep Heaven in view remain serene and cheerful in the darkest day. If the glories of Heaven were more real to us, if we lived less for material things and more for things eternal and spiritual, we would be less easily disturbed by this present life.” Billy Graham.
It was a rare moment when the already harsh morning sun revealed the Great Crested Grebe emerging from a shadow. I could have tried to soften the effect in post-processing but... Oh well, "I just had to let it go".

"Truly Madly Deeply"
I'll be your dream
I'll be your wish I'll be your fantasy
I'll be your hope I'll be your love
Be everything that you need
I'll love you more with every breath
Truly, madly, deeply do
I will be strong I will be faithful
'cause I'm counting on
A new beginning
A reason for living
A deeper meaning, yeah
[chorus:]
I want to stand with you on
a mountain
I want to bathe with you in the sea
I want to lay like this forever
Until the sky falls down on me
And when the stars are shining
brightly in the velvet sky,
I'll make a wish send it to heaven
Then make you want to cry
The tears of joy for all the
pleasure and the certainty
That we're surrounded by the
comfort and protection of
The highest powers
In lonely hours
The tears devour you
[chorus]
Oh can you see it baby?
You don't have to close your eyes
'Cause it's standing right
before you
All that you need will surely come
I'll be your dream I'll be your wish
I'll be your fantasy
I'll be your hope I'll be your love
Be everything that you need
I'll love you more with every breath
Truly, madly, deeply do
[chorus]
I want to stand with you on a
mountain
I want to bathe with you in the sea
I want to live like this forever
Until the sky falls down on me
It has been sunny but very windy today. Although Linus loves to stay outdoors on the terrace the strong winds drove him back inside soon. He lay down on his yellow blanket, looked out of the window and contemplated the weather.
I have so many tick, chigger, ant, and spider bites from this week that I feel like I was a body experiment for Deep Woods Off… or at a Boy Scout summer camp lol
