On our second day in Doolin, we returned to the Cliffs of Moher to wander through other areas beyond the most famous part next to the visitor center. After hiking its southern area in the morning, we returned to Doolin for lunch and quickly made our way to the cliffs to photograph them again at sunset.
This time, we chose the incredible view from the area known as Pollboy Lockout, located on the coastal path that leads to Doolin along the edge of the cliffs heading north. An area in which we must take even more precautions, due to the risk of landslides. After immortalizing the immensity of these rock walls with my camera from a lower position, I decided to fly the drone to get a more global view of the area. From the sky you can see even better the small rocky beach under the majestic cliffs, in addition to the O'Brien Tower and the Sea Stack in the center of the image, and then continue with your eyes until you reach Hag's Head at the bottom. We could not have dreamed of a better ending, with a wonderful warm light illuminating these giants that we were lucky to explore during two unforgettable days in front of the ocean.

En nuestro segundo dÃa en Doolin, regresamos a los acantilados de Moher para pasear por otras zonas más allá de la parte más famosa junto al centro de visitantes. Tras recorrer su zona sur por la mañana, volvimos a Doolin para el almuerzo y rápidamente nos dirigimos a los acantilados para fotografiarlos de nuevo al atardecer.
En esta ocasión, elegimos la increÃble vista desde la zona conocida como Pollboy Lockout, situada en el camino junto a la costa que lleva a Doolin por el borde de los acantilados en dirección norte. Una zona en la que hay que extremar las precauciones aún más, antes el riesgo de desprendimientos. Tras inmortalizar la inmensidad de estas paredes de roca con mi cámara desde una posición más baja, decidà volar el dron para conseguir una vista más global de la zona. Desde el cielo se puede observar aún mejor la pequeña playa de rocas bajo los majestuosos acantilados, además de la Torre O´Brien y la Sea Stack en el centro de la imagen, y luego seguir con la mirada hasta llegar a la Hag´s Head al fondo. No podÃamos haber soñado un mejor final, con una luz cálida maravillosa iluminando estos gigantes que tuvimos la suerte de explorar durante dos dÃas inolvidables frente al océano.

These deep cracks show the dramatic effect that rain can have on the otherwise parched land. The average rainfall in Death Valley is only 2 inches, but along with strong winds, it is responsible for many of the interesting features in the park.

It's hard to capture or describe the deep blues of Crater Lake. The reflection of blue and green light waves off of the surface of the colorless water, and the fact that the lake is fed by solely by precipitation and not external streams, results in crystal clear water with a sky blue color. Provia slide film did an admirable job here, but in person the lake surface and sky are even more vivid.
This was our second winter trip down to Crater Lake. The first provided for some awesome snowshoeing and beautiful forests, but the lake was completely socked in by fog. This trip we had beautiful views across the lake, just enough clouds to add visual interest to the sky, and a beautiful contrast between the white mountains and deep blue lake.

The weather forecast predicts a nice morning and showers later today so I ran out early to a nearby street, one of the most picturesque in the city.
I first tried Focus Stacking but the results were awful, I put it in my photo stream should you be interested. Biggest problem is that the wind is rather strong so that the clouds are not cooperating with a focus stack.
Then I used a very small diaphragm and noticed on manual focus and focus assist that actually at F18 the whole picture is in focus. I did use a tripod to get a nice stable shot.
In post I upped the sky a bit although it was already very pretty. Very Dutch too....
