I had driven to Saratoga Springs, but it was so windy that I only got out of the Jeep long enough for my hat to blow off. Afterward, I headed down toward Ibex Dunes for a hike out to the old talc mine ruins.

I was under impression that this summer will be the last summer for my Canon 30 D and thay I will concetrate more on 40 D and 5D Mk II but I realised that I miss IR photography so this camera is my work horse( for IR shots only ) .From now on, it will be used during summer.

I sometimes find 365's a little odd in that I will take hundreds of photos each month and only upload a very small selection of them. So I have decided to take a look back at some of the earlier months and upload a few additional shots I took along the way.

Nikon's deep tone monochrome might not be the most accurate rendering, but the results are usually pretty stunning. It’s like putting a red or orange filter on your lens when shooting with a contrasty film stock such as Kodak Tri-X. Blue skies are darkened, while skin tones are brightened. Great for portraits and landscape alike.

What you are seeing is a glimpse into ancient lights thousands of times brighter than the sun and full of nebulae blooming deep within dense star clouds.

Well, I finally got off work yesterday with a little daylight left in the sky! I haven't missed a fence Friday in almost a full year, so I ran out with the camera to try to find one! With this new schedule I'm going to have to get pretty good at the night-time shots!
Thank you all for your encouraging words on my photo Wednesday! The studying is off to a good start (only 5 months to go!) and I'm still definitely going to make time for photography, especially on weekends.
