Pu the first coat of Interdeck on yesterday. It went on very well, but there are some lighter areas which may need a second coat. I still have to finish the cockpit, but i'm hopeful that two 75cl tins will do it all.
I also fitted the blue sprayhood (there was a maroon one on when I bought her). It's nice starting to put things back on!
Photo from my brother's shack and deck he built out in Burnt Timber, Alberta.
This is the main deck, built purely of downed trees and scrap from his various carpentry jobs. The close edge is just a foot off the ground, but since it's built on a steep hill, the far end is about 12 feet off the ground.

1200 sq. ft. Evergrain deck with many different custom accessories. The balcony has a glass rail and finished underneath so the deck portion is usable during rain. The gazebo is set up 2 steps from the main deck and set with a fan underneath for hot nights. The kitchen area was completely designed & installed by our crew including the tile. Every step has 2 step lights along with every post having solar light caps. We resurfaced the dock and added a large gate from the main deck area to access it.
This deck was constructed with TimberTech XLM Sandridge decking. We used Trex Transcend Firepit railing. This deck was built in the Richmond Hill area.

Up on deck of the Carnival Valor on the last night at sea.
Gosh, I wish I was there right now, with the warm night air on my skin. Sigh...

I put down these temporary decking squares to cover the concrete floor of the patio in spring and summer, taking them up when autumn comes. When I do take them up, I always find a whole world of amazing creepy crawlies underneath - woodlice, spiders and I don't know what, all living on plant detritus that has slipped down between the cracks. I take the squares up in small batches to let all this life find somewhere else to hide, though I think that most of it dies off over the winter anyway.

Actually, she "decked" herself. I pulled the garland out of a storage box and left it in a heap on the couch. Then I went to the basement for another load of stuff. When I returned here was Natasha. I'm not sure how she got it around her neck so nicely, but she got bored with it and extricated herself as soon as I'd taken the picture.
The upper deck is a wonderful place to see everything which is going on - from the antics and revelry of the lower deck passengers (and their animals) to the continuous beauty of the lake and its shores. There is enough space for passengers to sunbathe on the open deck or enjoy the shade of the bar. The steady 8-10 mph of the boat creates a perfect breeze on a hot day. My wife Juliet (left) and Jack & Beryl Rumley have obviously just cracked a seriously funny joke!
