It is recommended for an individual to choose the main posts required to provide support to the redwood deck. One can make use of metal sleeves for fence posts in order to avoid wood decay. Deck support columns in the ground also may require the added protection of tar and metal sleeves for the same reason. Lastly, one can outline the final design on graph paper and use different colors to review the various color choices for their redwood deck.
