Daily Dog Challenge: Small ... the kitchen compost tin ... we have two so they can be emptied & cleaned often.
Flight Deck, one of my favorite rides now. It has the speed, the turns, the flips, the pains, but more importantly, the ADRENALINE! The ride also tries to mimic the feeling of flying an F-14 fighter jet.

If you have the chance and the time, visit the USS Midway Aircraft Carrier museum in San Diego's harbor. Take the time for the guide island tour. On the command center for flight deck operations you will find the list shown in the picture. Quite interesting detail you will get on the ready room's tour, all the names are pilots which are died, missing or get captured.
“Manet and Modern Beauty,” the Art Institute of Chicago has gathered Édouard Manet's paintings of men and women decked out in fashionable attire, rendered with an eye for detail in his impressionist style. The exhibition also includes some of of Manet's personal letters, as well as paintings of flowers and fruits (which, aside from stylish women, were among his favorite subjects).

Well, our halls are pretty much decked out as they're going to be. Our tree as well. All that's left is to finish wrapping the presents, cooking ahead of time, and any last-minute preparations that may need to be done before the crowd gets here for our big, family holiday gathering before we know it!
The more we can get done now, the more we can relax later. At least that's the plan. And seeing all the decorations around the house, like this one in our entranceway, helps keep me in the mood.

Nice to see their A330s in Bangkok, as this type does not serve my hometown airport of Hong Kong which instead just gets the 777s.

An NS SD70ACC leads a westbound manifest through Chesterton, Indiana, shot from the deck of Riley's Railhouse. Although the Chicago Line these days is pretty boring power variety wise, it's undoubtedly relaxing just chilling here and watching the trains roll by. Big thanks to Paul C for letting me try out his 70-200 f/4L Canon lens.
