My mom & brother built this deck several years ago. We are using an old Currier & Ives Print as inspiration for the outside of our little house. This is an opaque stain by Flood in Navajo Red.
This is what greeted us on our deck.
Apparently there was a turkey in our neighbors yard but my camera died so I didn't get a picture of that. There is something strange going on.
The original deck was approximately 12'x12' (24 sq ft) and built when the house was constructed. It lacked character and had limited space for entertaining. For those hot summer days the owners installed a 24' pool and wanted a deck that would maximize their backyard, provide ample amount of space for entertaining, and be low maintenance. We proposed the following design. A bi-level deck finished with a composite material (TrexTR) that would look great and address their needs for entertaining, storage, and low maintenance. The upper level deck is approx 15'x 15 and the lower platform 30'x15' for a total of 675 sq ft. The two staircases provide easy access to and from the yard. The gates are self closing and there are two removable access panels below the deck, one on each side, for easy access to storage.
We went for a big ship cruise experience aboard NCL Epic r/t Miami.
I carried my fitbit with me and counted my steps. I like to set out at 6am and walk all of the cabin decks. On Epic that was 7 decks which took me an hour. As you can see, that was ~5,800 steps and ~2.7 miles. Add in the rest of the days steps and I had no trouble hitting my 10,000.
Concrete decking is the final piece of the Town Common greenway bridge renovations, installed on Friday, August 21. The concrete decking covers a wider area than the previous wood decking, and will allow future events to be held on the bridge.
Experiments and tests I've been doing for a new collaborative piece with designer/illustrator Owen Gildersleeve.

A look at the flight deck of the EAA's wonderful 1929 Ford model 4-AT-E Tri-Motor. The classic airliner visited Bowling Green, KY giving rides and delighting young and old.
This airplane was owned by Eastern Air Transport, which later became Eastern Airlines. The airline is gone but the Ford soldiers on, touring the country each summer.
