East Leeds host Division Two side Bowling Old Lane, the competition's 2018 winners, in the second round on June 13.
Windhill's last four wickets garnered just nine runs as the visitors let slip a promising position in a knockout competition for clubs in the Bradford Premier League's third and fourth tiers.
East Leeds quick Ben Wilkinson (4-38) struck three times early on to leave Third Division rivals Windhill, chasing 219, floundering on 11-3. But Byron Greenwood (48) figured in solid partnerships, worth 60, 37 and 23 respectively, with opener Chris Heald (19), Adam Swaine (41) and Leeds Beckett University student Parwinder Singh (35) to turn the game on its head. Unfortunately, Windhill had very little batting left after Parwinder's departure, denying spectators an exciting finish. Pravin Chahande finished with 4-16, Shamoon Mushtaq 2-24.
Earlier, wicketkeeper Dean Atkinson (58 from 59 balls) and Leeds Beckett University student Kavan Patel (12) put on 72 for the first East Leeds wicket. Both went in quick succession before James Watling (36) and Kirti Tandel (61) featured in a stand worth 79 for the third. The home team later lost three wickets for the addition of only four runs. The influential Parwinder (5-50) and Matthew Marshall (2-30) had the lion's share of the wickets.
Owing to outfield damage, caused during the erection for a major telecoms company of a radio transmitter, East Leeds had to play every 2020 fixture away from Pontefract Lane. They returned in time for the start of the 2021 season.

Newly minted back deck. We did a tear out and new build of the back deck (second floor). We put in some custom features: built in shelf for drinks, candles, citronella; the back fence opens out if you ever need to bring up bulky items into the house from the back; and there is a secret trap door built into the flooring.
