The Promenade Deck, deck 7 on the Sun Princess. This was the closest thing to old-fashioned cruising. I love these decks, and I spent many a day falling asleep on a deck chair with a book in my hand.

Taken at Valla Park rod run in 1996, I'm a bit unsure of this as I haven't seen to many of these before, could possibly be a Model T turtle deck roadster with a 1932 grille, any comments welcome.

Two deck chairs are set up on the lawn in front of Lyme Hall, a grand stately home. The chairs are bright orange and blue, each featuring a white oak leaf logo and the word "Lyme". The building's impressive architecture, with its classical columns and numerous windows, forms a striking backdrop to the scene.

A wood stain consists of a colorant suspended or dissolved in a 'vehicle' or solvent. The suspension agent can be water, alcohol, petroleum distillate, or the actual finishing agent (shellac, lacquer, varnish, polyurethane, etc.). Colored or 'stained' finishes, like polyurethane, do not penetrate the pores of the wood to any significant degree and will disappear when the finish itself deteriorates or is removed intentionally.
