Lorna, contemplating the vista before her, with no sign of a possible path through the blasted landscape near Sissi on Crete, and wondering if it's time to turn round and head for the bar.
As I grow as a photographer it is becoming easier to decide what to keep and what to throw away, but every once in a while an old junker catches my eye. fineartamerica.com/profiles/1-jason-jacobs.html
Alast minute decision to go to Porthcawl with my friend Gerald.the forecast was a bit of an unknown entity, and with it raining as we left home,i wondered as to wether we would be wasting our time.....
I may change my entire set up.....everything. It would in the long term be for the better but it would involve lots of money again.
“Delphinium is a genus of about 300 species of annual and perennial flowering plants in the family Ranunculaceae, native throughout the Northern Hemisphere and also on the high mountains of tropical Africa. The genus was erected by Carl Linnaeus.”
"Do I really want to marry this man, his house is falling to pieces, the rooms are untidy and unclean, the staff are lazy and undisciplined, they are all in urgent need of someone to kick them into shape ——— perhaps I should look on it as a challenge ———"

Well the decision is in.
I looked at all the pics of Pips I had tonight and decided, between my two girls, she deserves to be my model for our first year in the group 52 Weeks for dogs.
She's the one who sticks to my side, always comes a-running when called, learns the little tricks, always overflowing with enthusiasm for everything, the quickest and the most loyal.
It will be an interesting journey to do with her as she hasn't exactly loved being in front of the camera, but when she is, there has been the most surprises out of my two girls.
can change our life. The decisions we make in that second, the people we meet and engage with, even the decisions of others. If you live to be 80 you have 2,515,968,000 seconds, nothing compared to our incredibly old universe, why? The answers are there, we just have to care enough to keep asking until we find them.

Cheviot. Cincinnati area. I grew up just a few blocks from this building. If I remember correctly, the first floor used to be a bar and the second floor was Ernst Pool Hall.
The decision to travel to Scotland in 1978 in search of industrial steam was a good one; to do it in the middle of winter, perhaps less so.
Being pitched out of the train at Glasgow in a blizzard was an inauspicious start, but I had made it to Bedlay Colliery, Glenboig by mid-morning, the last leg of the journey having been made on a farmer's tractor.
The good news was that there was steam, the bad news was that there was no traffic, BR being unable to access the colliery.
Thus I had to contend myself with following Hudswell Clarke 0.6.0T No.9 (895/09), mooching around the yard, with nothing to do other than round up the odd stray wagon.
Bedlay Colliery closed in 1981, steam to the end, No.9 passing to the Summerlee Heritage Park, Coatbridge
