Interior of the Salvatorkirche (Church of the Savior), a Greek Orthodox church with a slightly convoluted history:

Built in late Gothic style in 1493 as a cemetery church for the relocated cemetery of the Frauenkirche.

With the secularization in 1803 it should be destroyed, but it was used as important storage, so destruction was avoided.

In 1806 it was gifted to the Lutheran community in Munich, but due to continued usage as depot the Lutheran community could not use it. With the decision to build the Lutheran St. Matthäus church in 1825 the Lutherans returned St. Salvator to the crown.

In 1828 King Ludwig I of Bavaria gave it to the Greek Orthodox community for use, but the church building remained property of the state.

After this it remained Greek Orthodox and was renovated multiple times, most recently some interior refurbishing happened in 2022.

Jaspyr climbed up onto the roof of one of the old byres…Here, he is trying to work out how to get back down. Safely.

Years ago, when he was just a kitten, this big eejit found himself on the very apex of one of the byre roofs. He proceeded to slide straight down, with his front feet splayed, like snowploughing skis, in a foiled attempt to halt his downward plummet. He (and I) got a real fright. Fortunately, he was perfectly fine, if a little shaken and hiding under my bed. Very rare to see him on any of the roofs…

DECISIONS-----DECISIONS !!!

------------------------------------------

TAKEN IN APRIL, and still not sure if I like it or not, what do you think, be honest ! The bird has ATTITUDE that is natural to them. HABITAT found in deciduous woodland with dense undergrowth, having said that, some individuals become faithful to garden feeders. The female has a reddish-chestnut cap !

THANK YOU for your visit and kind comments, love reading them, your my extended family ! Hope you enjoy your weekend, sunshine in Kent, stay safe, God bless.................. .........................................Tomx

God is the answer ! now what is the question !

A California Scrub Jay deciding what he would like to eat for breakfast! He chose the Sunflower Hearts & Chips bird seed. It is fun to watch him pick through the seed and pick the tastiest morsels!

A pair of Mallard Ducks wander in a nearby forest under the forever watchful eye of Orion.

Orion was solid to 'point' for about 10 minutes without moving a muscle as I maneuvered around to get the shot. Not unusual, as that's just the way he is...

I can almost see him tapping his claw as he is trying to decide....

Oh! It's like he just noticed the salmon on the lower right of the image, LOL!

A hard decision

Image is of the hood of a McLaren. I don't quite remember which model.

I have been fascinated by street photography for a long time, but don't find it easy. There are some exceptional street photographers on Flickr that I admire greatly - you know who you are. But I thought I'd try my hand at it. Hopefully, after the vaccine, I will feel free to wander the streets of downtown Vancouver again. This one was taken near the Lonsdale Quay in North Vancouver.

And he told me that I was free, that I could go flying with the others, but I looked into his eyes and decided to stay with him

Y me dijo que yo era libre, que podía ir a volar con los demás, pero lo miré a los ojos y decidí quedarme a su lado

.... about decisions are a constant companion.

They are like a bridge that leads us from one possibility to another.

But in the end, we must rely on our heart and our mind.

A couple of images of birds I don't see all that often. These two were seen at the Garden of St Erth three years ago.

Our friendly garden robin came and took his food then spied a tastier morsel!

This is one of the most confounding road signs. It seems to say, yes, you have come to a stop in your journey; no, you cannot make forward progress; you can choose to go right; but a diametrically opposed choice is also viable; whichever direction you go, you could run headlong into a fast moving obstacle … In the meantime, enjoy the clouds

Powerful stormy clouds were forming, weather got windier and windier, so it was a smart decision to keep the boat on the land.

From Sneydes Rd. on this day four years ago. It landed on this branch and seemed to be pondering where it should go next. It left shortly after this shot was taken.
